Tried 3GP and PSP Video9 and both don't want to recognise it

half way down a program called video cleaner, make sure you amend the settings as you can end up with a huge file..

What are you guys using to rip your DVDs?

I have No 1 DVDRipper but it keeps coming up with deCSS not found errors.

I'm a total PSP encoding newbie. So please don't take the piss outta me!
I've been using my friends 3GP software for encoding stuff and it's amazing for 4:3 vids.

The same mate recommended me PSP Video 9 with his profile which is absolutely brilliant except that it only works best for 16:9 vids - There's no way for me to change the screen size which is crap if the vids were already in 4:3 mode.

Can anyone recommend or send me a decent profile for PSP9 for both 4:3 and 16:9 vids?

          Thanks in advance.

I recently bought a PSP myself and using RaPiz PSP video converter. I'm using it for 4:3/16:9 vids. You can download it: http://www.rapiz.net/

When you install it the whole program will be in Spanish, just go to set up, you'll then see the text "English.ini". Select this then Save. It's the best Encoder i've tested yet. PSP 9 is pish, by the way.

            Hope this help's.

            Peace

Hmmm, given this a go but I get an error everytime I try to encode from a .vob file. An error 11 - any ideas?

Works fine on a TV Xvid I'm trying now though.

Vob files are not compatible with the software, hence the error!

use a program called auto gk to convert the vob file

I used Mobile Video make by Makayama at the weekend and it was easy. Got the whole of Ep 1 at 379mg. quality isn't top notch but all very watchable and in a decent size too. Just open software, run and two click (and 3hours later) its on your PSP no hassles.

Has anybody tried Wonderboy's 2 pass INI on version 31 of 3GP?

I was wondering if it can still be used...

Beautiful! I'd hate to have to stop using the 2 pass magic!

How do you rip a DVD with subtitles on?

I've got DVDEncrypter and chose to rip the English subs but it doesn't show up when I try to play it which presumably means it won't be on the converted MP4 file.

                                PSPware

Have you tried the new piece of software from PSPware, this little prog does everything
converts Films, Music, Pictures, you just drop the files in, the sofware coverts the DVD files and downloads the converted file striaght onto the PSP, excellent quallity,
The only thing it hasn't got is a web browser for the PSP, still looking for that one.
