The LG has phono out too.

At this price range, it's assumed most people would be plugging their gear direct to their speakers mind.

How come none of them do Digital audio outputs?

But phono out is useful if the receiver has only one analog input (el cheapo Creative). The TV acts like a sound switch, outputting the selected source to the receiver.

          EDIT

I see, you're talking about digital inputs

You still want the TV sound to go through the receiver too. Mind, how many TV programs are have surround?

Well even if no programs do surround, PLII will do pseudo-surround from any stereo source. Better than standard stereo.

Nearly all drama for the last decade, actually. Even The Simpsons has had a Dolby logo since as far back as I can remember. In the US, the HD broadcasts usually have a full Dolby 5.1 mix in the stream, which is nice.

Yeh but none of that comes through your bread n butter analogue TV channels. Only on Sky is it not? And doesnt Sky have a optical out? I would check but I cant be bothered, not sure how my Sky is connected to the surround sound in the living room. But it outputs 5.1 anyway.

Like someone said, at this price range of TV, its expected you have everything connected up to a decent sound setup.

My order on Komplett is now "Picked" meaning it'll be dispatched today I guess. 8)
Just hope I get it before the weekend. I dont want another long wait, like I had 2 weeks ago, then didnt end up getting it!!

Once this TV's in my house, it'll be the end of the most annoying farcical episode ever of ordering online for me. Really pissed me off all this has. But once I've got that TV connected up to my consoles and PC, in all its HD glory, it will be worth it!!

On another note, whats the name of the program for setting your PC screen resolution to the 1360 x 768 since cards cant do that by standard, my mates new Sammy pure stretched it out from 1280 x 1024, looks minging.

Also, it would show the desktop, and running any applications but starting HL2 is wouldn't work, saying the "Incompatable Signal" or something along those lines with just a black screen. Would he need a different cable? If everything else worked, I dont get why games dont!? He uses the cable he got with the TV to connect it all. Would using the screen res program fix it or is it something bigger?

Powerstrip should do it, do a search on google.

Some games may not support certain resolutions I guess...but you can usually hack the ini file.

Or if you have an nvidia card you can set 1360*768 without powerstrip

Parcel Force's online tracking system sucks.

My TV isn't even there despite having a valid tracking number! I bet it's still on the "being kicked around warehouse" stage.

Mine is still "Picked". Will I need to wait til like 5pm until its shipped yeh?

Did you get the last 32LX2R from Komplett cause theres none left now!?

Keep us updated on when you get it, interested to see how your delivery compares to mine cause I'm always deadly unlucky with getting anything delivered.

Like when all three PSP's I've ordered from VG+ have went to Inverness by mistake!!!

Ideally you don't want to use any third party programs. I know nvidia allow 1360x768 and I assume ATI will too. Using VGA of course.

I guess HL2 is trying to launch in a strange resolution. You probably need to tweak some config file or supply a command line argument to set the output to 1360x768 and enable widescreen mode.

When I ordered there were four left, by 8am the next day it was down to two...by 10am they had sold out. I was watching closely all day so wasn't in danger

Man I'm confused now.. What cable will he have got with his Samsung? I didnt even look? And what cable do you need to use for the best picture? I'm sure he was just using VGA > VGA. And thats what I thought was what you used, thats what I use on my PC right now. It has DVI-I connection too though, that what I should be using with my new LG. Will I even get any cable with it or will I need to buy one...
