The option isn't availible on my 360 at 720p/1080i/1080p via component, it is there on freeview though, I watched T3 last night which seemed to look exceptionally good, I don't know if it was just a high quality broadcast though.

I set mine to 720p for games then 1080i for films. 1080p seems to give the same screen tearing in lost planet that VGA had been giving me.

Most games are actually designed with Component in mind, remember.
Evilboris - I'm curious, do you see any real notable difference between running games in 720p native and running them upscaled to 1080i? Dispite all the debates we've all read about this, there's so little difference to my eyes running them upscaled that I just leave the machine in 1080i.
The Bravia S does have great 1080i handling mind, as proven when running 1080 PS3 games, but I'd assume the WLT68 is on par.

I couldn't see any geniuine differences between the 2 to be honest.
I've just done some more comparisons and I have to retract what I said a minute ago, VGA still wins on the sharpness. Colours aren't so vivid, but that is expected.
ALSO, the screen tearing in lost planet VGA is still present when I connected it to my PC monitor, it must be a bug in the 360's VGA/V-syncing/scaler.
I might have a play with the service menu and see if I can boost the colour of VGA (like I did with my s-series).
I think I'm still gonna be stick with VGA though for the moment, as the tearing has never reared its face in anything else, also I use the PIP function alot.

I remember back when I used to use VGA, everyone went on about Dead Rising tearing over VGA and I never had any tearing on my LG.
Yet I connected it to a CRT VGA monitor sometime later, and the tearing was all over the place.
I've only seen tearing on Lost Planet over Component once, and that was that was on the Mission 10 boss where there were so many explosions going on that the game was slowing down.

I've heard good things about that Pioneer 360 speaker setup http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec...m/Product.html
Used to be around £300 and you still get 2 free games with it as well which you could sell on later.

Pricey though.
Years from now home theater enthusiasts may be reading whole articles on the available models within the Digital Sound Projector category. For the present though, there exists only the
Not as pricey as this book though
