Where does it say the R sammy is 12ms? i thought all the R41/51 models where 8ms regardless

btw yoshi you should try and get 51 as its the more updated firmware and things just saves you some hassle

You need to get yourself the Brass Eye DVD Box set - That episode nearly killed me. Noel Edmonds describing the dangers of cake = stuff of legend.

But 61 is newer it must have teh latest firmware ? I can upgrade that myself I believe ?

Think I read that on AV Forums but I've looked at so much stuff today I'm no longer sure !!!

But I deffo read it - I wouldn't fret <16m/s is considered OK for gaming.

You can indeed update the firmware yourself, should you need to, but you need to get the CD/cable from Sammy themselves.

Enjoy your new TV; I love mine.

Europes first CRT HD tv, looks good and for ?350 its a good price too!

How would CRT hd tv compare to other tvs? is the price trade off worth it
Very interesting. I've always been a fan of crts, and would love a decent HD one for the living groom. For the price this sounds too good to be true.

                What are geometry issues btw?

on flat screen crts it's fairly difficult to get the image as perfect as possible. if they're not adjusted properly from factory then it's possible that straight lines on your set won't be very straight.

that's all it means. bothers some people loads, others less so.

That sounds quite bad. Let's hope they sort it out at the factory then - which you would have thought any decent tv manufacturer would do?

Just a quick question about whether or not i have made a good choice of telly, btw size has to be 26" due to distance from where its going.

                      Anyhow its http://www.freemans.com/web/main/pro...7CP%5FSize%7C0

Now i want it for PS2 via component and PS3 when that arrives in November and of course films. Not sky mind as i aint paying over the top prices.

So good and bad points and is it enough for what i want?

It's a pretty fundamental problem with the way CRTs work; there's only so much that they can do. I know my Panasonic CRT is rather less than great for it, but like ****e shadow detail on LCD, rainbows on DLP and brightness fading over a couple of years on Plasma, it's something you compromise on when you choose the tech.

saw it today for 1050 EUR / 732 GBP (special World Cup 2006 discount price ) that's much cheaper than a 32" Samsung at the moment. Should I buy it? or is Samsung better?

what's the type number of that Samsung?? I don't think it can receive a NTSC signal, and that could be disappointend with a region free PS3

I've decided to wait till Sony releases the BRAVIA KDL-32V2000 in May. Is there anybody here that has the Sony KLV-V32A10?

Koizumo, The 32V2000 should be equally, if not better than the outgoing model. Lyris has posted today on AVF that the specs on the Sony Website may be wrong and that the new model should have 2 component inputs. One of my friends has the current V, albeit only a 26 inch and it is the dogs. Shame theres no new 26 V so I'll have to settle for the new S instead providing the it has the right specs!

On another note the new living room TV gets delivered on Thursday. Im getting a Panasonic 37PX60 courtesy of JL and their excellent price matching.

Cant wait to rig my 360 up to it on the sly when the parents are out
