Considering the following that the Tosh 68 series has on this forum it would be rude not to post this -

The latest gadget and technology news, reviews, buyer’s guides and features. Covering smartphones, laptops, audio, gaming, fitness and more

Several new models due now over the current months. May tempt some people who have been holding out for HDMI 1.3 equipped sets.

      Cool!
Will those be the first 32" 1080p screens then?

Sharp revealed a 32 inch model at CES with full HD resolution. Given their current track record though I suspect most people would choose the Toshiba. By the looks of it though it will probably be released about the same time as the Sony D series which all not having full HD resolution looks quite tasty....

Very impressive and nice industrial design too. 1080p is total overkill for 32" though, unless you happen to sit 30cm from the screen.

            It's only the 37? and up that's 1080p, the 32? isn't.

As I had posted earlier (but it was removed, as I wasn't a subscriber) I'm planning on selling my fully calibrated 37WLT68 now due to its size. Basically the changes I made to my room to accommodate it have made my room feel very small again (just before that, I had removed a massive desk to make it as big as possible) so I'm either going to end up downsizing to one of those 24? 1080p monitors that have video inputs and sit at a desk so I'm close, or have to get a bigger screen and put it on the wall. Either way, the 37? is either too big, or too small for my setup as it is just now, so it'll have to go.

Listed it in the new trading section: http://ntsc-uk.domino.org/showthread.php?t=72823

As I said the last time I posted it, this has nothing whatsoever to do with the new models being announced; I've been planning this for a while.

It has nothing to do with image quality; I'm still very happy with the WLT68 in that regard, and I'm going to hate going back to a 14? portable again in the meantime.

Does anyone know what RGBH/V BNC connections are for? My brother has just got a used 19" Syncmaster 900SL Plus CRT and it has these (as well as a VGA).

I assume it being RGBH/V means it's basically the same as VGA?

Yes, it's just an alternative way of getting the signal in. Through 5 BNC connectors instead of the traditional D-SUB connector.

Basically the same as RCA jacks for Component Video and Japan's D-Terminal.

                  Guys:

The Panasonic 32" LCD TX-32LXD60 is down to ?499...

                  Is it worth that??

Will a 360 look amazing on it?

                  I am a real n00b on TVs-help!

I've got that tv and my mates 360 looks great connected via component. Note that it doesn't have a vga input if that bothers you at all.

If you've got any specific questions about it just ask.

I doubt I would use it for my PC but the option would be nice...

                      Is that a good price?

What TV would you recommend for 360 and DVDs...I dont need a state of the art monster. My budget is ?500 max...

Seems like a good price, think I paid about ?560 with a three year warranty a couple of months but can't quite remember.

In all honesty I haven't been keeping up with what prices are since I bought it, but when I was looking for a cheap-ish 32inch LCD it was between the Panny, Tosh WLT66, and the Samsung R74.

The LXD60 is cheap at the moment because it's being superceeded by the LXD70 so it won't be around for much longer.

I think the picture quality is great with the 360 and DVDs, the inbuilt freeview tuner is pretty good, picture quality depends on what channel you're watching though.

                          Thanks mate

Will have a look att he ones you mention.

I guess the new models are due out soon so will be able to get an 'old' model a lot cheaper...

I don't know if the Samsung is being replaced as yet, but the Toshiba WLT66 was replaced with the WLT68 and the Panasonic TX-LXD60 is being replaced by the TX-LXD70.

So I presume the prices for these two are cheap because they're trying to clear out stock of the older model.

My current settings for my Topfield PVR are:
                              • Back Light: 0
                              • Contrast: 94
                              • Brightness: 62

                              • Tint: 0
                              • Sharpness: -50
                              • Black Stretch: Off
                              • MPEG NR: Off
                              • DNR: Off
                              • Colour Temperature: Normal
                              • Colour Management: On
                              • Red: -8 +2
                              • Green: +9 -4
                              • Blue: -15 -7
                              • Active Backlight Control: Off
                              • Cinema Mode: On (I'm guessing it's best turned off for interlaced gaming)
                              • Active Vision M100: On
Are these still the best settings for the WLT68? I appreciate it ultimately comes down to personal preference but I'd like to set the parameters at a good starting point before I begin tweaking with too many settings.

Go for the Tosh. They're excellent sets.
