AR+Freeloader. Not working on a PAL Wii?

I've tried both Action Replay & Freeloader GC discs, and both come up with the message "unable to read the disc". Anybody managed to get this to work on a PAL machine, or has it been gotten to by Nintendo?

you have tried to load it via the disc load screen .... you can't just stick the disc in

            I don't own a single PAL GC game, all US/Canadian - balls!
I've used 1.06b & 1.06B neither seem to work. Should've tried before updating, I just assumed it'd be ok.

Yeah, Action Replay doesn't work, I can confirm it. As I suspected originally, they used European Pearl White Cube's firmware, that in addition of having some anti-mod measures accidentally broke up support for few devices. I don't believe that blocking AR it was conscious decision on their part, but it still sucks. Oh well, Datel should be able to do create new model, as blocking wasn't actually part of Nintendo's original modus operandi. One other theory is, of course, that it was blocked in latest Wii firmware update, as it allowed to run unsigned code via SD card (which would be really big security risk no matter what is your region).

Lets hope Datel crack it and release a disc.Although it will probably be like the PSP and Nintendo will release updates.

I tried Freeloader myself and got the disc error

I'm now limited to 1080, Luigis Mansion and Ikaruga.

Luckily, PAL GC games must be cheap as chips now ? Might pick up the donkey kong platform one you use the bongos for !

Gutted I can't play RE4 though - I was looking forward to that

It works with my US unupdated wii using a 1.06b Freeloader. Japanese games works fine, the UK games I've tried came up with a blank screen though I heard sound. Forgot to hold down B for 60hz games

They'll bring out a new one, I wouldn't be concerned.
