AR+Freeloader. Not working on a PAL Wii?

I tried the reboot method with my old freeloader disc and can confirm it does not work.

At the bottom of the Freeloader specs it says -
*** NOW SHIPPING VERSION 1.06B *** This is the version I have and it does not work with a pal Wii.

Play-Asia have also updated their product listing to show that it only works with US machines now.

The only remedy is a new version of freeloader. I'm guessing Nintendo will update the US hardware in order to block Freeloader eventually also.

OK, I'm confused.

The response from Datel a few posts back implies that they have released a new action replay/freeloader that does work with the wii.

Is this true for PAL users?

No idea. Nobody has so far dared to buy new(?!) Action Replay. I'm personally suspecting that Datel just hastily put new batch of ARs out when it was confirmed that US Wii supported AR.

Without getting hold of one, we have no way of finding out so I`ll take the plunge and place an order.

Update - just got off the phone with Datels tech dept and got this information.
- The freeloder on the site at present is a year old version which does work with a US Wii, they just added the Wii logo to the box.
- A new version for the pal Wii is in the final stages and the website will be updated when its available. (about a week I was told)

They should get their asses in gear and release the revised version soon. I'm dieing to play Resi 4 and Twin Snakes in 480p.

I just hope they drop/change the 1.06b/1.06B capital letter rubbish and make it clear which version works.

Hmh hmh... Interesting... Datel did yesterday repost news that Freeloader works on Wii. Does this mean they have finally made working EUR version? It has same wording as before, but it would be rather strange that they would just repost only one article...

Anyone notice that datel has a new homebrew launcher
for the GC and Wii on their site ? (SD adapter + bootdisk, link)
Since the maxdrive pro disk never worked on the Wii,
i reckon they might have fix the problem (booting/blacklisting) already.
