I forgot to ask whether this problem was for HDTV/TFT's or CRT type TV or both?

It's nothing to do with the TV, the disc won't physically boot (apparently).

Datel have already sent out new batches of Freeloader with updated packaging aswell.
asked a seller earlier and they said:
the ones we had delivered today are in different packaging with good for wii on front

I checked the codejunkies sight & they've got Action Replay with Freeloader inc for ?19.99, or Freeloader on its own also for ?19.99.

I assume these are the updated versions u speak of but do u think its worth getting the 1 with Action Replay included?
          Are they on separate discs?

            Has anyone read this link?
Do u think its wise to boot your Wii up with a disc in it already?

I can see no reason whatsoever why that might be harmful. I do it on my other consoles all the time for convenience (i.e. lazyness) sake and I've never had any problems.

I'm asking because I'm sure this is why my DVD player packed in.
I left discs inside the tray when I powered off. Obviously I stop the disc but it still runs though doesnt it. After about a month it wouldnt read the discs anymore, probably because the lens was ****ed.

Have you ever seen a DVD player or console that comes with a warning stuck to the front, advising you to not leave the disc in the device when not in use? If it were a general problem, there would have been so many suings that you wouldn't be able to open the tray for the first time without peeling off a warning sticker.

The AR has the freeloader feature build in, so it is only one disk.
So for the price, both selling for ?19.99, the AR has a better money value,
comes even with 4MB memory card.

Nevertheless mail them first to see if it actually works on pal Wii machines.

What i meant was it looks like as soon as they've found out it works on US Wii's they've rushed out new batches (same version) with "works on wii" incorrectly written on the packaging then.
Slightly misleading when it will only actually work on one of the 3 regions of consoles.
Don't think that there is actually an updated version on then that will work on all Wii's but i could be wrong.

As Cornflakes said its best to contact datel before buying any of them because they probably wont work.

I doubt that was what caused it. Most players now will actually save your position in the disc if you switch them off while playing, and if that doesn't encourage leaving discs in there I don't know what does. My PS2, Dreamcast, GameCube, and 360 (all the consoles I have hooked up) have discs in them right now and they're off.

                          Any progress?

So can anyone confirm it works with the reboot disk in drive?

I have a feeling gamecube 2nd hand prices might go up with the BC becoming popular and will need PAL AC and MP if its a no go.

I`ve mailed Datel with regards to the pal Wii and have had no answer, has anyone?
Their forum is down as well which doesnt help.

I emailed them yesterday about this - no reply.
Theres a phone number on their site but it costs ?1 per minute.

                                **** that!
