I'm pretty comfortable with it. According to most size charts I could get away with a 47" in here

Nice TV Neko, I have the TH50PZ800, amazing stuff.

A TV can never be too big.

Mine looks the same size and I probably sit closer, with no issues. I've got more space to move back though.

Can someone recommend me decent bookcases?

I've been using a couple from Argis for a few years now but the shelves bow under the weight of games I put on them. What's the best wood to use? Ideally I want pre-fabricated ones but if I have to build them myself then that's what I have to do.

IKEA BILLY. A classic. Get 2 extra shelves if its for DVDs and games.

Actually I would go for this one: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40102105

The depth is perfect for DVDs, games and Mangas.

I have three of those and Im planning to get one more.

Any chance of a photo, Dajza? I've been looking for decent bookcases with a sensible depth for my collection for ages and I think you've just solved my problem. Did you use the extra Inreda shelves?

Yes, I bought few extra shelves, but in Finland you can't get them in black, only in light wood(oak or something similar).

Wow, they're perfect- thanks for posting a photo. You have an incredible blu-ray collection too, consider me very jealous of your Blade Runner briefcase!

Yep, that's exactly what I'm after. How long have you had them? They don't seem to be suffering any sort of bowing that my current shelves do.

About two years. The shelves are pretty strong if you just use them for games and movies. But if you want to store real books and hardcovers etc. then the Billy is the right choice.

How many DVD can a shelf hold and Blu Ray can a shelf hold ?

It is called birch effect. (Colour)

I don't know if anyone remembers me asking, nay, grilling Spatial about his IKEA business, but I've finally got the fundage and time...age to get it all done. Our lounge/gameroom is getting it's new floor laid tomorrow, I'm putting the new skirting down the day after, then the day after that the new units are going up.

Kinda owe a big thanks to Mr Spatial for posting his pic, which I instantly fell in love with. We've gone for the black/glossy brown one and it looks like a sex beast.
