For example if I play Final Fight on my arcade cab CRT and then I play it on my LCD through my SuperGun 'even without a FM' there IS significant control lag. I think it depends how deep you pay attention to the nuances of the game. If you just play a game for 20 mins and then move onto the next and don't know how it SHOULD feel then you're probably not gonna care tbh. But for old digitally controlled games it sticks out a mile to me.
So far i have tried my FM out with my Wii & PS1, mostly taiko no tatsujin on wii and DDR/pop n music/parappa/vib ribbon on PS1 they didn't have lag before i had my FM and with the FM hooked up there still isn't any. Not sure if it's because i'm using plasma & not LCD but with music games i'm very sensitive to lag it doesn't take much to throw off my internal rhythm. Seem to be able to play all my music games fine, i shall have to try rockband on my 360 next to see if the FM affects that.

Whats the PS2 (and PSOne through the PS2) picture quality like through the framemeister? Ive currently got mine hooked up to my TV via D-Terminal and on a 65" TV its not pretty, graphics look blurred and colours are washed out. Will going with the framemeister make a huge difference? I tried doing some research and one site I read that if you're using component with the PS2 then the FM won't make much of a difference and it would be a waste of money. If I could get a CRT I would do but unfortunately I don't really have the room for one at the moment and it would just be much more convenient to just use the LCD TV.

These Framemeister pics are really impressing me... How bad is the lag? Is it noticeable on a game like Parappa or DDR? That's probably my litmus test.

Anyway here's some pics of my CRT TV.

        -edit-
It seems I missed some posts above discussing potential lag. I'm still a bit weary considering the cost though.

Looks like you didn't pay attention to my picture. This is a PlayStation game running on the PS2 going in to the Framemister via D-Terminal. Lovely colours here the Framemister does a great job.

The brightness or contrast on your TV seems to be set too hight. The blacks look gray. Or is that due to the camera?

I noticed the photo before but the game is a 2D one which I know the framemeister does well with I tried looking up some YouTube vids but most of them were using 2D games to show off. Only one I saw that used a 3D game was Black and Killzone and both those vids were off screen so it was difficult to tell how good the quality was.

Due to my phone camera. That, and having a "cool" light bulb too I guess.

Man, seeing Virtua Cop is great, but it's sad it'll never work with an LCD screen.

It is really sad isn't it?

But to be fair I couldn't get it (or House of the Dead on Dreamcast) to work on my last widescreen CRT either (think it had something to do with the 100Hz refresh rate or something similar) so haven't actually ever experienced playing them at home at all

Another strike for the CRT then...
