If you have access to a CRT then you'd have one, surely?
If you live in Asia where they either don't sell them, or you cannot fit one into your apartment, or both, then you'd get a Framemeister.
Seems like an easy choice.
For me, a Framemeister.
Upsides: no bulky CRT, big ass screen
Downside: hiding the payment from wife, can be tweaked to near death levels

The best display comes from the Saturn and the MD- Which outputs the best RBG scart image I've ever seen out of any of the old consoles

Thanks for that. So tempted...
Drifting back on topic I will try to get some more CRT shots tomorrow. Got a calibrated BVM to let peeps see. Have to say some of the LCD & Framemeister shots do look really good.
TA mate get that horrendous colour sorted out. Looks great otherwise.Last edited by CMcK; 30-09-2015, 16:27.

To me the Master System and some of the Saturn games looks far better running on the Frame than on my CRT TV's . I've never tried the DC on the Frame will have to try that over the weekend

Of course, having it modded for RGB would be nice, but I don't think that service is available. I definitely couldn't do it.
I will agree that N64 games can look terrible, but that's mainly down to the horrible bilinear filtering. Doing that to games makes them look really blurry. My original 1996 machine was RGB modded, so that helped. Nintendo games, such as Wave Race and Mario 64 looked nice and clear, but not as sharp as PS1 & Saturn games, simply because the N64 graphics tech gives a softer look.Last edited by Leon Retro; 01-10-2015, 00:29.

I found the N64 games still were bad on the Framemeister but that was running through composite, i had a non RGB model .
So i bought a RGB Modded one , and throught the framemeister i think its the best you will get from the machine, all the letters are nice and clear, and Mario 64 looked amazing, but i think i general the n64 blurry textures dont help, having said the F zero is another title that looks stunning on it.
Foe me who does not want a CRT because of the size of them , i think its a stunnig bit of kit, for morden TV,s. and truly a solution for us.
