I captured the pictures using a Canon 1000d DSLR and the video was shot with a Canon 500d with a 50mm prime lens.

I would love to experience a Framemeister and compare it against my CRT's but i'm an absolute tight arse and won't spend the money! My 3 Monitors cost me a total sum of ?41!

Also i actually enjoy playing on CRT's. I like sitting close in front of them. I've tried to play emulated stuff on my 50" Sony TV but i just couldn't get on with them. Japanese pads also have crazy short cables.!
So your using ?500+ of camera gear to take those shots? No wonder my ?99 lumix cant compete....lol

Saturn is Scart and the Snes is S-Video

SNES image is pretty washed out looking. Saturn is better but I'd have to see it in motion myself.

Snes is only washed out as the game was in motion and so one gets that look . And trust me the Saturn looks and moves just as good on the Framemeister as it does on the CRT . In fact I'll say it even looks better as you can a really crisp and mega pin sharp image but messing with the settings

I'll remain skeptical until I see one myself.

When you see the Saturn, Snes and MD games looking and moving every bit as good (if not better) on your 50 inchTV as they would on your CRT . You wouldn't want to go back

Agree. The Saturn tends to look better on a FM when connected via SCART than CRT. That console in particular.

The SHMUP looks superb. VF looks rubbish. Maybe it's just the game!

Ah. It's early and only looked at the detail of the visuals and not the game.

with progressive sources (pretty much everything), motion is visibly the exact same as a CRT. Interlaced sources (primarily the ps2), not as good. I wouldnt have rid of a 29" trinitron, if it wasnt. I still need to spend time with 480i, and have it about 90% accurate at present, but i'm nearly there!

i think you are going to be skeptical for a long time though, as you really need to see it in action

Here's a picture of the PVM 20m4e. Being a 800 TV line screen produces really thick scanlines. I actually like the scanlines look but I know it's a matter of personal preference.
