Funny you should say that but I hadn't noticed until recently.

I've been playing the IOS version ALOT & I fired the PS2 version up last weekend & I was just terrible at it.

I used to be able to hit the 2nd level boss with no deaths on the PS2 version but now I'm lucky if I make the end of the 1st stage without continuing

On the Ipod Touch though I can no miss the first 2 levels & get to the 3rd boss before I die.

So now I'm not sure which is closer to the PCB but I do enjoy the IOS version more now which is a shame as Mushi on the PS2 was one of my fave titles ever.

Deathsmiles hit the JPN GoD yesterday, 2600? or 1760msp. (slightly cheap on the HK store at 1680msp)

They'll still only work on JPN/Asian machines but there isn't IP blocking. Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 will be out next month so we'll see if they'll continue to be lenient.

Generally speaking it's the Mushi & Ibara PS2 ports that are flawed, whereas ESPGaluda and Dai Ou Jou are meant to be quite excellent. Whilst I'd definitely play ESPGaluda more than Ibara, I'd still rather it was the latter if they're going to get into the habit of re-doing existing ports. Plus it'd be a nice excuse to chuck Ibara Kuro into the mix too.
Yeah, the ports handled by Arika are top notch. Really nice.

I found the PS2 mushi and Ibara ports to be fine when I used to play them. Unless you're used to the PCBs I don't think there's a major problem. Sure Arika did a better job on DOJ and Espgaluda but I didn't like either of them nearly as much as Ibara and Mushi. I prefer inferior ports to inferior games.

            Well, some people have standards.

480i is terrible. Not including 240p support was a very poor choice.

This thread reminded me, wasn't there talk of an M2 port of Dangun Feveron coming to XBLA a while back? Has that been quietly cancelled?

It was at one of their shows but they haven't said anything official about it. You'd have to expect it won't be coming out since Guwange didn't do amazing and their new focus on phones.

Mushi is out on GoD but it's IP locked. ;(

                  JPN - HK.

Got an order in with VGI already. Cave is going to make my PS2 redundant at this rate!

Pre-ordering this as soon as I'm home
Gonna give VGI a go this time me thinks.

Thanks for the heads up Charles & CMCK
I concur...my PS2 is looking pretty pointless these days
Although Fighters are still important on it.
