Cheers for the games last night jassi. Soz I wasn't up to much had been training my parrying and was in a foul mood because I wasnt doing very good at it and kept taking gimp losses before your invite, just regular ones after it

i was racking up the losses last night what with you and sandcastle.
your obviously way way better than me, but it was good fun seeing what you can do anyway.

Those games were great, really close nailbiters some of them. I think I just got lucky more than you did in landing that final blow.
I had some other really close game with some fella that I forgot the name of, I don't think he is on here though.
I love finding equal match ups, always really satisfying when you win.

after smacking up third strike on sunday, i decided to have a go at hyper sf2 again to bump up my ranking there. played against one guy - can't remember his gt - but we played over 30 matches or so just as turbo ken! ok sometimes i pressed A too quickly and ended up choosing super turbo ken but still...

it was wicked, as after about 10-15 games we'd both literally figured each other out so it was really funny, like a kung fu film with all that blocking!

i started off losing about 10-3, then caught up 15-15, then took over to win something like 19-16 or something. i got the guy up to his 1000th game too (i won that one and all )

the only thing he had on me was that he can do the flying kick-uppercut-dragon combo which i can never do! mind you, i figured out how to block his crossovers so once that happened, he'd do hard dragon punches leaving me to chuck him across the stage. great stuff, and it's a wicked culture shock after playing a few hours of third strike. i once had a long game (about 1/2 hour) against someone and we were just champion ed ryu and ken. it was sweet

well, my trial ran out at the start of the month, and i'm on monthly for a bit, but i'm deffo gonna get a starter kit if only for this game. i've got to the point where i don't wanna reset my ranking for the sake of another free trial. if i only had halo 2, i'd be on trials, but thanks to this baby it looks like i'll be taking the plunge.

I stopped as there's very few people I know who'll play it... and yes - It's much harder than SSF 2 (infact it was the first SF II game that actually gave me a challenge in single player). It certainly sharpens your play up at least. Plus i'm finally seeing the Third Strike light, so to speak, and I haven't been able to put it down especially since playing it on Live.

And I agree on the LP + LK to throw stuff.. argh!!

Infact, the main reason my mates refuse to play hyper with me (and lose so badly) is because they're always trying to parry, apparently ;P

I get an A now and then, B's more frequent and usually C's but MSF! WTF, you must be a psychic ninja god to get that rank 0_0
