when i used to play capcom vs snk2 on live, i started off as ken-ryu-ryo (only ryo would be changed to kyo, iori or whatever) all the time, then if someone mashed me up with another character i'd just choose that guy and play as him for a while. so seeing as i got mashed up by almost every character, i had quickly moved on from ken/ryu and was choosing all kinds of weird and wonderful snk chaps.

same sort of thing with ts now - i just choose a random character, get the instruction book out and try the moves on whoever i'm playing against. i still lose like heck but it's much much more fun, and beating someone with a character i'm not extremely familiar with (like alex, hugo, ibuki, etc) is infinitely more satisfying than beating someone as ken, ryu, etc.

although i'll never abandon the shoto guys, it's just that until being on live i've always just played ts like i do the old sf games (no parrying etc). slowly slowly i guess!

Crossovers + lag + insistence on parrying as much as possible = gravity0 owned.

I see what you're getting at Singho, and you do have a point. I hope I didn't bore you stupid by mostly choosing Ken during our fights. Yun is actually my main character offline, but his Genei-Jin is totally ****ed with the slightest lag, and I just can't seem get my head around that.

Still trying...

At least I didn't spam crossovers with Ken. :P

Popped on SF 3 last night.. came face to face with one of these mongs (and yeah, he really did keep repeating everything detailed above, over and over. Zero fun to play against, he bored me to tears!

Oh and the twat quit on me when i DID beat him. rawr!

Just played 11 or so matches against a Necro, and I just wanna rip his arms and legs off!
Anyone got any good tips for getting up close and personal against Necro while playing as Yang, except for parrying

lol, that match against my Urien was yours...unlucky that the reflector sent you back your own super art at double the speed I only put the reflector up to just send back your own standard fireball.

Anyway, good Ryu, like the pressure tactics you was doing...Urien was totally pwned.

GG's Teodi too...I tried to parry that Elena SA but i missed the timing of the second hit.

its Parry-1 sec (wait till her feet hit the floor) Parry x 9. Oh well, will get another SA parry online to add to my list

i was surprised how close our matches played/won totals were....shame the lag was so bad though. i was going to quit earlier but thought i'd stick around for you to get even.

my connection is just an ordinary 256 upload. but i always host with no problem usually
we'll have to try again another time and see if its any better

Am still trying to abuse the fact you try and parry everything I throw at you but still do stuff that you parry everytime and leaves me open for major hurtage (my Remy is becoming totally useless vs you coz I'm crap with him and super cheap, sorry )

Oh and the trouble with shoto's, well for me anyway is that I'm too scared to make an agressive move on them coz I get smacked with a Shoryuken near enough everytime coz I dont have the confidence to dummy into a parry yet so I gotta rely on counter attacking to get them down and abuse them when getting in isnt an issue. Not too easy when you get sent into a parry trance

lol good job i didn't have the headset - when i did the super fireball i knew if it connected i woulda won so i dropped the pad (only the second pad-drop in my life!) and started screaming, then the scream turned into hysterical laughter

it's become my story of the week down at the computer exchange warehouse

btw i got my magic box today, so gonna have some fun later on. and maybe, just maybe, figure out how to get the headset working with it (where there's a will...)

don't think your 10-1 success is gonna put me off though - i'm used to losing on ts btw i had to leave because i had a super headache not because i was losing. seriously.
