are there settings through the wii settings itself I need to do? it's lit and seems to work but obviously not!

I know there are settings in MH. But I'm fairly sure it's set to ON by default.

its not set to on by default,you need to go put it on in settings third page at the online heading, can you hear my wii speak cause i had it on?

Valor > city gate 1 > city 15 , yes/no?

I was thinking Valor 1 / City Gate 15 and then try and find a city on the first page 1 to 8. If there are more than 4 forumites playing MH I don't see much point specifying a city and it's easy enough to just flick through them to see who is on.

Still have to get online (and getting a WiiSpeak or a compatible keyboard), but I'm pretty early in the game, done just a couple of level 1 quests and nothing more.
Might show up, don't hold your breath though.

Hello, I wondered if someone could clarify something for me?

I have a standard uk Wii (black one) but wanted to play this game with my friends from the usa. however the euro version will not do that right?

Is there any way to run a usa copy on my uk wii and play us peeps?

I play the US version on my Japanese Wii using GeckOS via the homebrew channel. I have firmware 4.1J and it works fine (except the black bars on the left and right).

Can I still access this Hombrew channel? I heard some update removed it from the wii? (my wii hasnt beeen online at all yet if that matters?)
