Fun games yesterday Bubz and Orgun. Despite me being only HR5 and tragically bad.

I'll probably be on this eve if anyone doesn't mind me tagging along

Quick question though. Do you need a Wii Speak in order to hear any online chatter? I've set volume and such to the max but am still yet to hear anyone.

Logging on now, got delayed by a 45 min + fight with Gobul (sp?) first time i'd fought one and god damned they are annoying. Ended up using 10 Mega potions, 2 max potions, 12 wetstones, 3 paintballs and a cup of tea

Ah nuts, I only just figured out that you can actually use items with you weapon unsheathed! That would have made tranq,paintballing or setting traps a whole lot easier than it has been heh

Some good questing tonight, and I got to try out the Arena for the first time. it's a lot of fun.

Oh, how you use items with weapon out? Bloody hell, that'll save me a bit.

It seems to only work with some weapons, you just hold down the R button while press Y to use the item. LIke how you mine with the torch out but hitting Y instead of A .

Hehe yeah I should probably read the manual at some point too, some of the skill names arent that descriptive ingame.

Bad thing is that the manual doesn't exactly explain what all skills are. I had to read the wiki to understand a lot of them...like the "whim" parameters that affects the breakdown rate of useable objects (pickaxes, bug nets and so on).

You'd thought they would include a brief description in the Hunter Notes. Guess not.

Managed to clear most 3* quests online yesterday so I'm on a steady roll to HR 31 Fought Agnaktor for the first last night too, very slippery bugger, three fainted quite quickly.

You might already know this, but when you have skill names on screen (from selecting a bit of equipment or whatever), hold B on the Wii Remote and point at a skill name to get a description of the abilities it can activate.
