Right, I'm back from holiday and noone else has started this so I guess it's up to me!
Right, entries are in now and the draw has been made!
Hopefully, you can all access a spreadsheet here which contains the four groups, together with a gamertag list.
Though it's the first time I've tried it so you never know...
Please just update the tables with your results (just win/loss) and post here too. Please also update the gamertag list on the right with your tag.
Rules:
League format
Play each opponent once, it doesn't matter who hosts
Games with be the best of 5 bouts, each bout best of 3 rounds. There's no need to play all five, you can stop when one player hits 3.
You can use any character at any time with no restrictions
The league will be based on wins (i.e. beating someone 3-2 is one win)
The top 2 in each group will go through to the main knockout.
The bottom 2 in each group will go through to a losers knockout.
In the event of a tie there will either be a playoff (2-way tie) or a random draw (3-way tie). That shouldn't be too unfair as everyone gets to go through to a knockout tourney anyway!
Everyone has 3 group matches, so I'm going to say they need to be finished by Tuesday 25th, to give time for any playoffs etc and then the knockouts to get underway reasonably quickly. Any problems let me know, otherwise i'll just make a ruling about any unplayed games.
