Just a simple one this week lads...

Challenge 9
Type: Zone
Track: Metropia
Deadline: 14/07/11 Midnight GMT

I managed 31 on my first attempt, I am pretty ****ty at this mode though.

Battery on controller is dead and I won't be back home to get my charge cable until the weekend so that's my only attempt until Sunday night at the earliest.

I'll try and think of a more interesting challenge for next weeks hopefully.

Everyone happy to even start using the Fury tracks? I haven't raced on any of them at all yet but I imagine everyone has Fury now after the PSN freebies giveaway so we'll go for that next week unless there are any objections?

Just checked on Wikipedia and Metropia is in Wipeout Pulse so I will give this a go later

I never had HD without Fury, so I don't even know what's Fury and what's not!

I did 56 laps of a speed lap session, and managed zero perfect laps. Not particularly confident about Zone! I got 29, then 28, then 30. Should be able to go better than that a little bit at least, each time I lost about 50% of my health in one stupid ricochet session all the way down that long straight so if I can manage to not to that, I'll go much further.

When I load Wipeout HD, I have two options in the campaign, normal and Fury, do you not get that?

Yeah but I've not really made the distinction between which tracks are from which mode as I've hopped across both whilst playing the campaign, and the gf and I always just pick a random track when having a quick race.

They might not be 100% similar to be fair. You could end up posting completely different scores/times as we are since it is a different game?

I think might be true. I don't think they are identical in handling nor exact track sizes...

Mwaahaha, my 31 first go ain't looking to bad then.

I've not even had another shot yet. Straight of Death is chaos though, all goes well until you hit the straight and... ping, ping, ping, ping. Dead.
