It'll probably be one of those "1 use per week with 5 charges" items, just to balance it out. Either that or give it as a drop from a NM that sets itself to 30x your level or something equally as stupid.

This sounds like a cool item, and unless it has some sort of hideously cruel obstacle that balances it out, then I don't know, but I can hear now the cries of the players claiming "This game has become so much more easier its a joke."

I think I may be one of those in the not impressed camp. I like the character of FFXI as it stands in terms of character progression and I always have. Even having passed 50 now and seeing the time sink required to level I still wish they'd left XP requirements the same.

I still feel the solo play option is there with BST and RDM not really impressed with the new approach. Duoing is already available if you want to do it but most people choose a full party.

As for the rasing of xp for EP and DC this makes sence to me as when was the last time an EP fight was actually easy

I really like the sound of personal NPC, it?ll be a bit like Pokemon, and for all those quests, missions, nm fights where you?re a man short, your NPC could come to aid you. Plus it?ll give players another option to mess with when they have nothing to do.

An increase to EP and DC experience rewards?? HOORAY!!! But does it spell the end of xp parties below level 25? Are the Valkurm Dunes going to be desolated from now on?

As for this fellowship thing, yuck.. sounds unbelievably naff... what's the point of something like that in an online game? Maybe it will work better than I can imagine but it seems pretty silly to me. Ever since the ENMs it seems like Square-Enix have been prepared to implement any ideas that float by out of the blue. Seems pretty messy.

The disbanding of Aurora coincided with the disbanding/reforming of one of the major-player JP HNM LS. Result = me, along with a few friends from the old LS, get to join one of the best LS on the server. Claim ground HNM 95% of the time . Killed Nidhogg yesterday and Fafnir today... it's great to be able to actually participate in this kind of thing, instead of wasting 3 hours camping .

Just had a read of the rllmuk thread O.o Kind of makes me glad I cancelled my Garuda character (after 1 day!) and joined Seraph!!!

Last night was fun. I had the simple task of leveling my THF from 8-10. One hairy moment when I was taking an EM Lizzard I got agro'd by an EM Quadav - took the Lizard down then thanks to the WS and 2hr managed to take down the Quadav with 6hp remaining. 100exp + 120exp (Chain#1)

Apart from taking longer than doing 1-8 when I finally hit 10 I was on my way back to Bastok to sort out my gear etc I fought one final Lizzard and prompty got PlagueBreath'd and died /fume

Nice work tal, it's high time I took my RNG or RDM to the dunes, both have been sat at 10 for ever. I think the RNG is most likely as I don't really plan to level RDM.

So 15 is in sight for you? TH1 is well worth having farming is just so much more productive with it. I still intend to get TH2 on my thief, it's sat at 20 and has been for about 6 months. Maybe when I eventually rach and breach 60 on PLD I'll come back to the other jobs for a break.

Now all I need to do is to manage to actually log on!

First of my apologies to Tobal about royally screwing up the hunt for Hakutaku eyes. Earlier in the evening I was farming, Tobal was partaking in Ballista and Wedge hit the EXP trail again, and we all agreed to meet later to try and obtain the 2 eye clusters Tobal needed (and hopefully get them for myself to add to the KRT one I got on Tuesday). However I stupidly went AFK in Jeuno whilst waiting for everyone else and started to watch TV and kinda forgot about the Eye Cluster plans. By the time Tobal reminded me and I got over there it was gone 11pm and too late to do anything.

I don?t plan on farming tonight Tobal so if you want to try again, I will be around whenever. However, I know Wedge doubts whether he?ll be on so in his absence I think we would need Apathye?s help. When you guys warped out of the Grotto I popped a Silent Oil and took a look around (only previous time in this area was coffer hunting for AF). I did come across a NIN fighting a Hexeye type mob so I know where it spawns now. I also found a coffer guarded by a lone Easy Prey pugil. I stuck up Utsusemi and proceeded to fight it and it actually dropped the Coffer Key. Opened the coffer for 11k which was nice

Hunt for Sairen continues and is starting to piss me off now. Can?t believe its been over 2 weeks since the last one sold especially as loads sold (well, 5 >.>) sold in June. I?m well over the amount of gil needed (compared to the previous selling price) so I?m just waiting on someone to list it.

I've just been idling away the time trying to cap my summoning magic after gaining a level to 31 in the last ENM... rather than stand outside jeuno and summon/release/summon/release/summon ad infinitum I thought I'd do it by killing easies and farm at the same time. Got ambushed by a DC goblin mugger last night and had to astral flow due to low MP, then resummon my avatar after it was defeated - the 2nd summon was the one that capped my magic and the kill took me to less than 100 xp from level 32. Perfect timing! I wonder if I can bypass the Garlaige Citadel grind ths way... hope so....

I think I will be going back to red mage quite soon to take it over 25, and then the only thing stopping me from levelling BLM past 51 will be lack of money to buy new scrolls with.

2. How do I get my search flag updated to show JE?

I can answer number 2.. i think... you select the menu option that says 'bilingual'.. but I'm not exactly sure where that is - possibly under search->languages?

On number one your search comments do get blanked everytime you log out but yoiu can set up a macro to create them for you...

One of the updates that was put in some time ago seems to have fallen on many a deaf ear. But at one point, SE allowed you to use macros to set up a search comment. So, for a quick easy comment for EXP PTs, jam this in one of your macros:

/sc 1 Message on first line
/sc 2 Message on second line
/sc 3 Message on third line
/scu expparty 1 (This puts the green dot by your name, change this with things like mission, quest and whatnot to change the colour)
/invite on
