Last night was good fun, if a little exasperating at times. Squeenix were testing my faith even further though... sending you on a quest to a particular area to repair a 'mimeo mirror' and then littering that area with points which give you a mimeo stone as a key item.. that are all completely unrelated to the quest. I mean for god's sake. Once again we were dependant on prior knowledge so we didn't go off on a wild goose chase. Would it be so hard for them to come up with a different name for it? If I'd been trying that solo I would have been halfway up the mountain with the wrong thing!

I know what you mean Darwock, but because the game has been like this all the way I have given up on trying to do anything without a guide, its clear thats th eonly way they expected people to make it through the game anyway, one of the worst aspects of the game in my opinion.

If only SE provided more detailed mission descriptions / clues then it would surely cut down on people wanting to, or having to use guides.

For anyone who wonders where Lewis has gone.

When Lewis first appeared in the Linkshell, I asked Bayan who had added him. He stated that he had, and that if Lewis started to upset the more longstanding members of the shell (which I have never fully considered myself to be, compared to the likes of Wedge, Tobal, Moot, Rarehero, Truehero and Bayan himself) that he would be removed.

Unfortunately, I don't have a screenshot of that conversation. I now wish I did, for reasons that might become apparent. The shots I do have, that are relevant, are those below (if you are interested). The titles are mine, but I'll leave the conclusions to you.

Today, when Lewis made an unexpected return to the shell after an absence following Tobal telling him a few home truths.

Continued discussion today, Bayan suggesting he had not had adequate opportunity to address issues with Lewis before I kicked him from the linkshell.

I've never had the pleasure of any direct contact or partying with Lewis so can offer no personal opinion of the situation. What I will say however is that in 15 months of being a Rargh member I have not seen the kind of comments that have appeared from Lewis in some of these screenshots from any other member, new or old. They are totally out of order and surely have no place on our friendly Linkshell, if at all in this or any other game.

Although its not the first time I've witnessed less than colourful uses of language on our LS chat, what I see in those screenshots takes things too far. I applaud the removal of Lewis from the Linkshell, but I think it only fair that future removals should be left up to Bayan to decide - owning a pearlsack is a great responsibility and not one that should be abused.

My view is this, it was an action that needed to be taken. I'm not sure if Bayan was fully aware of all the instances Hicory was unlucky enough to see. To avoid any future misunderstandings I think what we will suggest is that we set up a route for the resolution of in LS issues. Its important that if we want to keep the LS we know and I hope love we all have to make sure the members (both new andd old) behave in a way we would like to be behaved towards ourselves.

We'll work out as an LS how this should be done and together maintain this community the way it should be.

P.S. We are not about to enter a fascist state people will be given chance to answer questions etc and where ever possible ammend their behaviour to stay as part of Rargh. I would expect most of us being grown ups to sort these things ourselves without going crying to teacher. However there will be the odd case as highlighted here and I hope it will be the last, but just in case...

There is no good outcome from situations like this, Lewis conduct was completely out of order on a number of occasions. I dont not wish to over analysis the current issue, but i ask that we all continue to work together to make Rargh an enjoyable for all the members. I know i enjoy being on Rargh and i hope everyone else feels the same, i feel that we might need to discuss some proceedures/ways of handling situations like this to reduces the stress and grief caused to members of the LS. We are a community and mostly importantly we are playing to have fun so lets make sure we continue to do so

I disagree.

I personally don't think anyone person in the LS should have overall say as I don't see anyone as the owner or leader of the LS, im its longest standing member and consider everyone thats joined and contributed to this forum to be on a level field, not below or above anyone else.

I think anything like that should just be talked through here first and then we can get a good idea on the situation and make a good decision between us all.
