So, FINALLY after God knows how many months we finally got Beryl-footed Molberry to drop the rare/ex Katana Rarehero has been after. We tried 3 times last night; first was alittle crazy with Rare taking a "Throat Stab" which wiped out 95% out his health and then him running out of range just in time for Beryl to use "Mijin Gakure" [Ninja 2 Hour], which he then got back up from and took a Tachi: Kasha from Tobal with no drop.

Then we Popped the 2nd Fight

Great news guys, that Katana has been a pain for some time. Sounds like a night of good stuff with Talizker emerging again after a lay off.

So ZM4 is once again looking good for:
SMN/WHM - Mosley
RDM/BLM - Talizker
PLD/WAR - Tsingtao
NIN/WAR - Rarehero
BLM/SMN - Darwock

Looks like we'll need just one extra and a melee DD looks favourite to set up the skill chains with rare and I so SAM or RNG over 65 would be perfect if we can get one.

Can everyone confirm they're good to try this one on Sunday (and that they're still in), we'll try to get started around 20:30 to get to the main BCNM. How many lanterns do we have (if any) it's time to scgedule up the farming of those beauties.

I'll be willing to come along ... i know a good place to farm the lanterns and i still have a lantern from my ZM4 success. if any of the other ZM4 runners are on and free before the run time i know a sweet place where the lanturns drop like rain. speed up the process

I saw a shout for a ZM4 group needing a tank on Saturday evening so joined up with them. I?ll be honest, although the battle was fun, the preparation beforehand was horrible and my only recollection is that the entire thing was 4 hours of hell.

Part of that was down to the leader not fully knowing what to do and after getting us 4 lanterns, taking the people who had them to the incorrect alter thus lighting them incorrectly and making them useless. After that we got one more lantern which fell to me and I had to basically make the trip to the correct alter 4 times to get the door open.

After that, I really don?t want to have to go through all that again.

Plus, you will probably need more damage than I can offer to pull of the fight with some of the players you have.

Fair enough will look to fill with some heavier melee DD, don't suppose you fancy a visit to hell with us do you Bayan / Tobal. Should avoid all this wrong alter rubbish and the like, idea would be to get this done once staight up. Having all the lanterns prior to the run will be key, not going to attempt on Sunday unless we have them. Prior to heading to the BC everyone who's ever killed a tonberry or cryptonberry needs to clear tonberry hate as well.

I really don't want to take anyone I've not played with before in for this so I will be knocking on various doors to find people I know for the last 2 slots. Idea will be to go quite dmamge heavy and make sure its as fast as we can make it, sleep sticking will be key.

Tactics as I see it go as follows...

We will be fighting the follwoing mobs...

1 - Tonberry Grav'iton (THF)
2 - Tonberry Molyb'iton (BLM)
3 - Tonberry Tungs'iton (SMN) + elemental pet

The THF is sleep resistant so we will be sleeping the SMN and the BLM. Given that it will be down to Talizker and Darwock to decide whether ES + sleep on individual mobs or sleepga will be the way forward. After that I'll Establish hate with the THF then we look to take down mob 1 as fast as possible. If we have a SAM we'll 2 hour and go to town, with a RNG EES will be the ticket. All we have to do is watch out for throat stab and make sure the cures land fast afterwards...

Once the THF is down we'll take the BLM, was going to suggest we take this one down with an Astral Flow to stop it AMing us to death. I'll hold flat blade and shield bash for stunning.

Last mob will the SMN this will be the tradtional all pile on, if it starts astral flow get everyone bar me out of range and standby with the big cures. If I die Kerushi takes over tanking, followed by the next melee if he goes down to the next astral flow blast.

Reckon it should work and I expect it to be no worse than the mammets, everyone bring everything you can. Icarus wings, potions, regen and refresh foods and anything else that could help.

Finally after few days past 2years of playing this game i reached lvl75, via the gift of solo ENM60. Also managed to get Rank9 and survive carb mitts fight after eating 2 searing lights from carbuncle, 1 Everybody's grudge(about 1k damage now, need to do that quest) and AoE attack that left me with 16hp, very scarey.

Straight up after, Rare's Katana and finally some success

I also pickup up an Unlit Lantern so i guess im helping , but i'll need to get some exp first, 400 above the drop.

Also Rank9-1 stuff. 3 parts,

1, Trip to Vally of Sorrow to get a Key Item
2, Trip to Xarcabard to get a Key item
3, NM fight vs 2 Birds(Whm and Brd) on the Island in Battalia Downs, that needs you to travel through Eldeime. I think these can easily be done in no time before rare's 11pm Lost time ^^

Thanks very much Tobal thats a big help, so that brings us nearer our 6. One more big DD and we're in business, really hoping to make this a smooth one. I think Lewis was offering to come along as well so that would give us a level 70 SAM as well.

Hi all,

I've recently started levelling RNG as my main job, and I could use the Empress Hairpin for when I hit level 24.

Would it be possible for a couple of people in the LS to help me camp the Valkurm Emperor sometime next week?

I know he doesn't spawn very often, so I wouldn't expect anyone to stick around for the whole time, and for what could be several attempts, but any help at all would be appreciated.
