I finally got RNG to level 24 last night, so I got to wear those Martial Slacks that I spent ages trying to get (thanks Rare).

The only problem is, I don't think they look very good when the rest of the gear is primarily lizard armour...

I was just wondering, as I am playing the 360 version, how many of you out there have tried both? If so, which did you prefer.
What are honest specs to get the best out of this on pc?

Finally will the monthly rates be the same as the pc version?( which is how much exactly?)
      Thank you for your time

Btw In case it helps, Toshiba Laptop 1.7mhz? celeron, 512mb ram, ati x700 256mb.

I prefer every aspect of the experience on the PC over the 360 Beta except the 5.1 sound to be honest. Hopefully things will improve for the 360 launch but i'm not holding my breath.

        I'm running on a desktop P4/3Gb, 2Gb memory, 6600GT, 1360x768. 360 is running at 720P. Same 26" LCD display.

I'm currently using the PC version as well. Didn't think too much of the 360 beta but alot of features were missing from it, so I'm hopeful for an improvement for retail.

It would be alot more convenient for me to use the 360 for ffxi as I could use my VGA splitter to switch between my PC and 360 allowing me to refer to quest guides and maps without exiting the game.

Van, nice to see you finally sporting the Martial Slacks. I don't know why I never thought of this sooner but would you be interested in one of these?

Probably a better option than the boring Lizard Jerkin. It's located off an NM in Inner Horutoto Ruins (where we skilled up a long time back) so I could help you camp it.

            Let me know.

Good idea that one Rare, I've killed Maltha a couple of times it's often up as no one really spends any time round there. Both claims it was just sat there waiting to be beaten to death, got some good gil train farming the gobbies in there as well and desynthing the gear.

As for my weekend play not to much but it was finally time for my big harvest, 30 sapplings all set up to produce fire ores. Well first thing I noticed is I'd screwed up my timings, I was expecting a full moon and it was a last quarter so not a great start. Regardless I went ahead the first mule in Sandy was outstaning 2 fire ores produced netting me 1.4 million and putting me in front already. With high hopes I went over to bastok and was gutted to receive precisely 0 fire ores. Now feeling nervous I went to windy and 9 plants harvested had no fire ores to show for the effort. Then on the last plant I got a final ore bring me to a grand total of 3. Happy days, I am now the proud owner of a brand spanking new Amemet Mantle +1.

After speaking with rare last week I think i'm also going to change my DD kit slightly, dropping my venerer ring (which I sold to some schmuck at 600k over the weekend) and assailants ring in favour of 1 or 2 STR+ rings. More expensive but I think I'm packing enough attack +.

Only other real thing to report is I now have all the memospheres I need to get the promyvion maps. Just case now of going to get them!

ENM40 bad seed ? late kick off, got the scales quickly and set off on the trip there, mostly with out invisible which was pretty funny weaving in and out mobs. Also I managed to get couple of us killed after running right into a load mobs which I thought didn?t agro (which they didn?t when we passed through during cop2.5, must have been that feather we got of hypogriph as darwock pointed out).

Fight was good, I missed a lot of arrows so it felt like it didn?t do much damage outside of running in for Weapon Skills and my 2hr. We beat after both Ninja 2hr?d the last tiny bit of heath and we got the slash drop.

That ENM40 was good fun, certainly felt like it was a challenge.

I came in heavily under equipped being that I did the job switch to Whm, under leveled too.

Plus only the one Yag drink meant I needed downtime during the fight.

If others are up for another trip maybe to try a different fight that would be good, im also up for other ENM's as well.

I could use some Lv30 ENM's for my WHM and BLM and always up for any others. For me I could do with having a days notice so I can get kitted out and to the zone in advance. Really wanted to do the ENM40 yesterday but no way I could get on and sorted at 7pm - was logged out as WHM in the Jungle so would have taken an hour+ from 8pm which was the earliest I could have got on.

Hopefully we can get 3.5 underway this week and then any further trips to Monarch Linn could be easier. I've got a feeling I binned that Hippogriff tail feather to make space, as it was EX and I assumed it was only useful for clothcrafters. I'm intrigued if that really did stop them aggroing or if it was some weird random glitch that spared us last time. We definitely stood face to face with a Cloud Griffon, and it didn't attack.

I was pleasantly surprised to be able to participate last night anyway, I saw the message at 6pm and when I logged on (already thinking I'd have missed the chance) I then had to install an update, so I didn't get on until 7:05. Luckily for me there was still a space.

Oh, and sorry about the complications I caused by not having invis, but I've really gotten into a mess in terms of inventory and finances. I need to do another gobbie bag but can't due to costs, the clothes I bought for the subligar quest haven't sold on and have now clogged up my delivery queue (which was already full with items) - I basically had to choose the support job to compensate for my lack of space, as I couldn't carry either yag drinks or prism powder - so I subbed smn to give me the mp advantage. I didn't want to take powder off anyone as I can't afford to pay for it anyway! Seems to be par for the course with me that I'm under-equipped and under-prepared

Need to sell that damned stack of poison potion as well. Naturally the stupid thing didn't use it's sleep attack at any point while I actually had a poison active, it only did it after it had worn off and before I had a chance to re-poison ><

edit - actually, important point - who's selling the drop? whoever it is, don't send me any gil through the moogles unless you want to lose a space on your delivery list, as I won't be able to collect it quickly. Let me know on here and I'll meet up for a trade.

The next step for CoP this week would be good, and really we could stop by and get the chip if anyone needs it beforehand, it didn't take me long to get mine.

How about we choose an evening this week, mid to late part of the week to allow preparations and building a strategy.

Thats fine with me. We just need to see if Hic is going to be available - I think she is the only one without a chip?

It may actually be better to stagger our efforts to make sure we don't all go at once - the worst part of that is the waiting as there are only 2 mobs that appear once every 15 mins! (or so it seemed)
