Well its been a busy old period for me but I'm back and playing again.

Cleared ToAU the Black Coffin in a pick up now moving towards the end of those missions.

Next I think has to be to get rank 10 San d'Oria sorted!

Oh and Bahamut #1, think to get this done we are going to have to set this up. Combo of pick up Rargh, and AaD I reckon...

**** YES!!!!! Ouryu destroyed!

No deaths, no need for silly Sleep>Multiple Freeze>Sleep or Garuda tanking strategies. Just good old fashioned tanking and party play with a solid skill chain and magic burst (Freeze for 1080HP) for the finish.

Excellent stuff from all involved but once again special shout out to Tobal, the Galka for who any help is never too much trouble.

An especially proud moment for myself as the last 9 months in trying to get this sorted I have seen multiple reportings that it is hard for a NIN tank and even had one individual tell me direct that NIN CANNOT TANK OURYU (he wasn't even talking about uncapped Ouryu either). Well, I did it!

Tobal seemed to think it was easy but I can say hand on heart Ouryu was a tough bast to blink tank. Attacks very, very fast but my blind and paralyze along with support from Moot's BLU gave me the edge.

So happy right now.

Yay i got past diabolos! ... then got our ass kicked by the 4-2 dragon ... we got it down to about 60% then it took flight for too long and drained us ...

Well another big week for me, been ill so had much time to sit around and play.

Completed a whole load of quests, down to just 50 left in the game to have cleared them all (bar AF, blackbelt and relic weapons).

Obtained rank 4 in assault thanks to a couple of great nights in which I cleared 4/5 of the L3s.

Obtained my first peice of Koenig from gods at the weekend!

Next major targets for me are

Bahamut #1
Obtain Koenig Hands
Obtain Crimson Legs
Bomb Queen Ring
Finally get some Merits ^^

Was a huge gods run yesterday, never seen so many drops in one night.

Yeah i got my Earthern Abj Head which was cool, missed out on hecca though but looks like im 1st/2nd in the list now for them next time.

Not really been up to much end game of late, spent most my time lvlin ninja and earring money for Utsu: Ni. Upgraded all my ninja gear last night so im good now till about 50.

Gonna get the stuff for my Earthern Abj Head to be crafted by fission just incase it manages to turn out to be a +1! Plus it saves me 150k

Bahamut #1 would be good im up for that big time.

Just mention it after a sky run Dara, theres still a good few that need and its not a hard spot to get to. Plus once we got it down its not such a hard fight, although /nin is recommened even if its in its 20's like it was for me at the time >.>

Plus Stun never works >.> Zerg is by far the best option, plus when he dies people can be dead and still pass it, i saw that posted that everyone had to be alive thats not true.

I wouldnt mind doing it again i owe him a few beatings.....

Ding 43 ninja! w00t loving this job it rocks! Costing me a pretty penny but i was ready for that.

All be worth it in the end, being able to solo limbus for 8-12 coins will rock!

On another note i need to get back to some assaults if anyone wants to do a set of 4?

Managed to drag myself off to a merit party last night getting about 10k or so in just over an hour for a 3rd merit point. Going to use this for my 12th (and final) combat skill merit upgrade. Currently at:

Max HP: Level 4
Katana Skill: Level 8
Evasion Skill: Level 4

Hopefully I can keep this motivation going and get some more merits. Unsure what to merit next. Choices will be either Ninjutsu skill, critical hit rate % or direct STR (although the merit point requirements for STR are crazy).

Interesting conversation with Tobal et al last night. Some of his comments rang true (especially the fact that I’m doing “sod all”) and it’s all things I’ve been considering of late but I don’t think Dynamis is the answer. I like to feel that I’m working towards achieving something when I play (that’s why I’ve managed to farm a lot in the past, it may be slow but at least I feel like I’m working towards what I want) whereas the potential for Dynamis is that, in theory, I could attend for 20 weeks and still have nothing if droprates/lotting randoms don’t go for me.

This sounds all to familiar to me. I need to and want to get back into playing regulaly but seem to lack the motivation to log on right now. Although I really want to get on and level to 75 the last few exp parties I had (before Christmas) were not at all fun and the prospect of more of that is not appealing. Events such as Assaults are probably happening but i'm missing them due to them not being organised on the forum. Truth be told i've not got the spark back since the whole CoP/Rank/Maat which was a real high point for me.

It also doesn't help that there are so many other great games on 360/PS2/DS that I want to play right now.

Tsing is doing his best to motivate me via our daily chats on MSN and i'm sure that things will be back to normal for me soon!

Rare honestly I gaurantee you 100% that by your 5th run you will have your first peice of AF, that's 100% certain. The most it could possibly take you is 30 runs if you have to set first dibs on the home cities to get your 3 easy peices. Drops in the starter cities are good I'd say on a normal Dynacore run we get 6 - 10 AF2 drops. I can understand the reluctance but you really should try it for a couple of months to find out for real. In all seriousness most NINs in Dynacore have all their starter city gear, Koga often goes to free lot or virtual jobs.

The other option for gear is gods with plenty of gear about to be got, again its taken a few months but now I'm starting to collect my god items. With the kitty being much more viable since the demise of the RMT things like Byakko's Haidate and Kirin's Osode are moving again ^^

Last 2 I Salvage and Limbus, I'm looking at Limbus riught now as my priority after gods. I'm trying to find a route for small team farming making heavy numbers of coins, if we can make 6-12 per visit we can sort things fast. I'm looking to kick off with a Brutal Earring and Boxers Mantle.

Once all thats done I think its back to Dynamis to get my last 2 peices and AF2 upgrade items.

Hopefully Sunday will net me my Koenig hands and maybe even Crimson legs.

Therein lie the advantages of taking a BLM to Dynamis/Sky.

Everyone and their grandparents are going to get the AF/JSE pieces before you "What job you after Daragon?" "Blackmage pls kthx" "When would you like that for? 2010?"

THF almost at 75 now so at least I have another lot of things to aim for, even if BLM gear isn't shall we say "very forthcoming"
