How does your macbook run the game? Your graphics at least don't meet the minimum spec apparently.

Thought it sounded too good to be true, have read some very unflattering things about the company too so might have a look elsewhere.
Is there anywhere you could recommend rep, for around the 400-450 mark? Don't really care too much about how good the components are, just that it will at least run the game (will probably be switching it out for the PS3 version anyway until I can afford upgrades)

FFXIV doesn't run great on most of our high end machines. My machine will run anything that's thrown at it over the last 3 years, everything set to high, full resoultions at 60fps, Resi 5, Batman: AA, Street Fighter IV etc. FFXIV most things are set to medium, low or even off, I'm lucky to hit 30fps. It's a real resource hog. For £400-450 you're unlikely to get anything decent, even if you build it yourself. They're that price for a reason, they're usually full of cheap nasty components that I wouldn't really recommend to anyone.
That isn't to say you won't get anything for that price range, it's just what you will get won't be very good.Last edited by Rep; 02-12-2010, 13:35.

It's my budget for the time being though. I'm not just after one for this though, that rig I linked to should at least handle my several years worth of PC gaming backlog without too much trouble. That card at least can handle something like Fallout 3 on highest settings with reasonable (30ish) fps.
Anyway, is there an alternative store you know of I can get one built for around that figure? I really don't fancy my chances with Dino PC.

That's a MicroATX board, so space could be a limitation in the future, and it doesn't support i7 Chipsets if you plan on upgrading that.
450w PSU, again that's pushing it and any future upgrades will probably need higher one. That pc specialist advert on the front of the case is abit nasty too.
You could do better for £520.

Cheers for that, will see what I can do.
Edit: How about this one? http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/sy...ilent_Edition/
Reasonably priced and room for upgrading I'm sure.Last edited by Daragon; 02-12-2010, 15:03.
