Eeexcept it's not. Power Strike has a much slower pace to it and one hell of a lot more bullets; and whlist Aleste and Power Strike share the same weapon configuration, powerups and that, Aleste is simply not as good.

Can't really comment on the FM audio, though I do remember Power Strike sounding... erm, interesting?

Are you sure ? I could have sworn that I ran Aleste through an emulator then set the emu settings to PAL which made the game show up as Power Strike. I must have been dreaming or something

Nah, you're right on this one Mark: Mark III Aleste = SMS Power Strike.
If you use a Master System Convertor to play Power Strike on a double-switch modded Mega Drive set in JP mode, then you see the Aleste title screen.
However, Aleste 2 and Power Strike II are different games.

Ah, I knew it I've never seen the Japanese Aleste II though, only Power Srtike 2.

Power Strike 2 is a Euro only Master System game. Aleste 2 did come out on Game Gear though. I think i'm right on this one, i've only just got into Master System stuff though

I'm pretty confident, but I'd be pleased to be proven wrong I've got a Power Strike cart upstairs (but no SMS atm) but I remember it being one hell of a lot slower of the emu copy of Aleste I've tried to play on my Zodiac...

Actually, I'll try and find a Power Strike ROM and will compare the two. You've got me doubting myself now!

Ok. So it turned out that the game I was thinking of was Zanac! Either way. Zanac is rubbish and Power Strike is ace...

Yeah that's just about right, though Power Strike II was also released in Brazil
GG Aleste II only saw Japanese release.

Well last week i got Castlevania and Megaman for the Nes at Gamestation. Paid ?11 for both i was happy with that, they seem like games that could be worth more in future.

Raystorm & FF Anthology PS1, Wiz N Liz & Toejam 2 MD up the booty today.

Also got an official Genesis Videogame Organiser. Basically a box to put your Mk 1 MD/Genesis, two pads and about 20 or so unboxed games in. Is this worth much? It is in very nice condition.
