I've just ordered a Dreamcast R7, Cosmic Smash, and a few other games from Videogameimports.com, can't take any pictures until Christmas day sadly!

Can't wait though, I miss my Sega collection, and I'm going to build one up again!

I'm selling a brand new one with postage included for 200 so I guess 180 for a used one even if it is mint maybe just a little too much but still, not that bad really if postage was included.

Yeah, I forgot, VGI are supposed to sell you things at prices that don't permit them to make any money, ever.

That is what I love about forums, it is full of people who want everything for nothing!

Same on the AV side, all the guys in the business say exactly the same thing, as soon as someone says they are from a forum you know they are going to **** you around like nothing else.
There are guys that will pay more for the ease of being able to get a product nect day, may be a new projector for ?7k or a Dremacast for ?180 instead of waiting months for a used one to appear at ?150.

I always notice the same people who try and knock everyone down on price are also the same people who have their gear marked up at top dollar too, not saying anyone in particular but they know who they are.
To be fair they are probably just kids who earn sod all, but it does make me chuckle how unfair they think life is to them. Easy answer is push yourself to earn more money, then another ?50 on a console won't matter!!

Retro is a secondhand market and as such prices are driven by buyers 99% of the time. If you don't like the price don't buy it, it really is simple.

Edit: Instead of bashing VGI (which I admit I have done in the past due to buying 3 'mint' games that were by no stretch mint - whereas I know lots of people who rate vgi highly - personal choice again see, simple!!), why don't people bash those who deserve it?

For example I get much more annoyed when people purposefully snap up bargains, NOT for stuff they want or collect, JUST because it is a bargain they have stumbled across and they can charge top ****ing whack 2 days later. At least it seems VGI are into games, as well as running a business. The ***** I refer too are just in it for a quick buck off the back of the passionate hobbies and likes of others. Sure, you can view it as good business sense..but I view it as them being *****.

Totally agree, that was why I made my comment about certain people who seem to moan about VGI et al are also the same ones who snap up bargins and then knock them out at top dollar a few days later.

What comes with an R7? Always wanted one, just to continue the black sega console mission!

My R7 came today, you wouldn't think it was second hand, the cable ties for the pad didn't seem messed with, since the cable was perfectly wrapped. The plastics have that new feeling still to them (does anyone else get this?), all the cables are sealed, as are the manuals, and the box is in superb condition.

It's a shame mine didn't have the R7 disc with it, but this I knew, I could of got the other R7 with the disc, but that R7 had a scrated lid... Go figure... Overall, I'm very happy and excited for Christmas, which is a change! Cosmic Smash's presentation is beautiful, and I love Space Channel fives shiny cover and spine.

My R7 contained:
Console (duh!)
Pad (duh!)
All required cables
Dream Passport GD ( Sealed)
All the manuals, a fair few!

I'm probally not missing out on much because I don't have the R7 GD anyway, can't imagine it having loads on it, eh?

I like VGI, very fast postage, this is my second purchase, and I'm very pleased.

The R7 disk is only a repackaged dream passport cd so you havent missed much, Did you get the little box of free gifts with it? (it includes a messager thumb piece, a keyring, some toothpicks and some other random lovelies) Anyway glad your happy, the R7 is a beautifal console.

Judging by the picture, the gifts come in a seperate box from the console, wish I could of gotten hold of them.

Next console I'm after is the "This is Cool" Saturn, VGI do it for ?130, I'll see if I can find it cheaper of course, also after a nice Asian Mega Drive, can't wait until Jaunary, I get paid a stack, and I'll be filling this thread with many a picture!
