WTF! Is that a QL??? I haven't seen one of them since I was a kid!

Man, there can't be many of them kicking about. Does the drive work? I remember they were a bit iffy, but the little disks were quite cool.

Both microdrives are knackered but I have a spare QL which needs a new membrane but I think the drives are ok. It's not a massive problem with it having a floppy drive but it would be nice for games. I have Steve Davis Snooker on microdrive and can't play it yet.

Microdrives, that was it! Jeez, that takes me back. I don't think i've ever actually seen one in the flesh, just remember seeing photos of it in mags and thinking it looked cool. I love random old computers, next you'll be showing up with a sam coupe!

This is what the postman brought today:

All in very good condition, except TWINE, which had been crushed by a previous owner. It was mentioned in the listing, although picture didn't reveal the extent of it. Book press to the rescue once more. Very pleased to have a copy of it as I've been dying to know what it's like.

Was also pleased to find a copy of SotE without the booklet – I reunited it with its missing manual (one I got when I bought my machine) today.

WipEout was an absolute steal at £5!

sam coupes are just too pricey, I'm just happy with my Acorn 32bit stuff and my Sinclairs! A few more pics for you!

I saw one with working microdrives on ebay for £150. You never see one in years, then you start seeing them everywhere.

I'm amazed how much they go for now, I didn't pay as much as that for mine!

It got me thinking about random old systems, I wonder how much a full Commodore CDTV set up would go for?

I think you should get a QL and join the NTSC-UK QL Club!

The Stafi games are brilliant and FFIV I last played about 15 years ago on the SNES.
