      This arrived today.

Is that an interface for the Disk System with a passthrough for Famicom carts?

Sort of, the passthrough is for the Disk Systems Ram Adapter, it's a late 80's pirate device which provides additional ram and emulates some of the Famicoms mappers. Basically pirates would disassemble roms of cart games and convert them to be loaded from multiple disks and into the TGD6M's ram as the standard Disk Systems ram cart isn't enough to store the later cart based games.

It's a bit obsolete these days what with flash carts but it has one really good use which is why I bought it, it allows you rewrite Famicom Disks which is handy if they get any errors or demagnetise at some point.

A few picks of the CMVS.

It's great to have a Neo-Geo in the house again. And I've been pleasantly surprised by the Neo CD controller it's like a jumbo version of the NGPC stick.

Analogue Interactive CMVS Slim, very nice! I wouldn't put it too close to that fire in photo one, though

The stick they did is fantastic, too

That fireplace is just for show but I'm struggling for space around my old television just now so it'll just have to sit there for the time being. I wanted to buy one of the matching sticks but unfortunately they were already sold out when I placed my order.

I ordered both scart and component cables with the CMVS but it doesn't seem to work properly on my LCD. The picture is messed up but the sound is fine. Oddly the television recognises the signal as being 720 x 480i. I thought it would have been 240p.

Looks great CMcK. Have you seen the Omega CMVS? Same idea but made of plastic and even closer to the AES design, looks fantastic.

Very nice cmvs. I was so close to pre-ordering one in December.

I'm sure Christoph was saying over on shmups that pre-orders for the next batch would be opening soon.

I had considered the Omega but it's taken the chap making them a long time to get them out there and I wasn't feeling too patient. And I prefer the symmetry of the Analogue system. I'm a bit sad like that.

But, it doesn't have the authenticity of an AES.

                              But no CMVS does!

No idea really. There's a brand new one on ebay at the moment for ?330 (NEO pricing, ha!) but don't know if that's good or not.

Been looking into it and it seems there about $499 (Bit rich for me) but they are very nice , The guy who builds them is also looking into making MVS replacment carts that look like AES carts so should look very nice with some shockboxes
