It is the 21 sony it seems to handle 60hz no probs my dc only outputs 60hz and the pic is class from that.

Ill take some more pics for you and pm you them but it wont be till Friday now.

I seen one of them sony 21" trinitons around 2004 in the sony shop in town for about ?300 sheets.


They don't have any screen glare on them if you open your curtains in your room do they johnno?

You can search on ebay for items within a certain radius of your house and because noone wants tube tellys any more there are some real bargains to be had.

Picked up a really nice retro telly today as a 2nd set dedicated to retro games playing. First time in eight years that I've owned a proper CRT after owning a rear projection set and currently having an LCDTV. I used to have a 29" Sony CRT, my biggest regret was selling it and replacing it with a rear projection set, what was I thinking.

Anyway I've returned to owning a Sony Trinitron and am I glad I did, it needed some manual adjustment in the service menu to compensate for the image shift to the left throug scart.

The set is a KV-21X5U from 1998, bought for the princely sum of ?16.00 on eBay with remote and manual.

Full NTSC input compatibilty, 2 scarts, 1 full RGB, the other S-Video and Nicam stereo.

It's an old post, I know, but I'm back here right now...

Very nice TV and... This is gonna be the one I was looking for. ^^

To the owners: is the service menu intuitive/functional?
I saw one - years ago - on a Trinitron 32" and it seemed to me totally irrational (another one - on a 21" Thomson - was great, unlike the TV).
