Probably. What is tat to one is gold to another in my eyes. That Astro City cab is nice though. Used to have on myself until the missus made me sell it. When the new house gets built though I'll probably get another one but new this time round.

What is the going rate for a reasonable stand-up cab like that in the UK?

there isnt really a going rate as each varies depending on condition, how rare it is and what model/age it is.

The New Astro City I have is made in 1995 and was really only a Jap machine so its rare to find any in the uk unless they have been imported.

If you wanted a cheap and easy to source arcade machine, look int Sega Niaomi abs as they were imported to the uk and normally the ones you see with Virtua Sriker/Virtua Tennis etc.

You coulf find an ok one for sub £500 and theyhave try sync monitors so you can play newer and older games etc. Just make it jamma compatable so you cam play most PCB's etc

I can't because I don't have it anymore. I got rid of it about 7 years ago when we moved to the apartment we're in now. Beforethat we weren't married so I had my own place to do with as I pleased. We are building our new house right now though that does have a spare room. She want's to make it in to a guest room (yeah, right!) so with luck that will become my games room with another cab in it. Not sure what one but probably another Astro City for my Retro stuff.

That's the beauty of living in Japan. Getting a new cab isn't that expensive as long as you know some arcade operators well enough.

Saying that there are an awful lot of downsides living here as well once you pop your head out of the gaming heaven clouds
