Also seems like only richer sounds are selling these ps2 tvs.
i doubt very much those ps2 TVs will be would be worth much in the future - cant actually think of any PAL hardware that has'nt depreciated in value

Idiot woman in there wouldn't do me a discount for cash. She also said that the included remote wouldn't work with the DVD player and that I'd need to buy the PS2 remote when it isn't true.
I plan to use one as my main screen now. PC, and slim PS3 connected up to it. I also want modify it into a JPN PS2. Dunno how successful it'll be, but I've got four spares I suppose
Had the same thought about keeping one sealed and eBaying in 10 years for massive profit like the Aiwa Mega CD boombox.
From what I can gather they are some kind of import, as Sony UK seem to have zero knowledge of its existence. o_O
Good gear by the way, thinking ahead.Regarding the sony uk,it is on their site ,under support or something like that.

Nah, just the divers and this sony shoite! Pity about not having the ps2 connected via component ,very strange move.but it would still look garbage anyway, unless it's running on a crt/ commodore 1084.
Someone will have to see if this model no. ps2 can run freemcboot ,as i think the later ps2 slims put a stop to freemcboot ?

Do any PAL PS2 games support 480p? That's the only reason I can think for it not being connected via component. There is zero difference in RGB and 480i component though, so it was prolly cheaper to manufacture this way perhaps?
I only run my JPN PS2 via component as a number of my games support 480p either natively or via triangle and X mode.
I'm going to subject one of mine to experimentation and hope to have it as a JPN unit connected via component. I have a SCPH 70000 and 90000 I can take the innards from and put into the stand. Should be doable methinks.Kept you waiting, huh?
