200 quid, ouch!

Yep - they're not worth that amount bearing in mind the costs for making a cart like that amass to around under a tenner.....few quid for the sac cart, a quid or so for the eprom/s involved, and a little patience soldering. The biggest outlay would be a eprom burner for teh romz, bout 60 quid.....
Not sure I agree with that they're nasty hacks - a lot of work went into translating the jap roms into english a few years back, all of which was a large group effort extracting the alphabet tables and text, getting them translated and then trying to find the room in the rom to re-insert the text. All this was then publicly released for nowt - what I would object to is the butchering of working carts and peeps charging a fortune for a thinly veiled booty.....

I made an english SD3 cart a while back. Included a really nice title screen patch to change it to Secret of Mana 2 as well
It's the work of the translators / hacking community, so I don't agree with selling at profit... but jeez, that's a lot of moneyIt's one game that's actually worth close to ?200 imo.
