Problem is because this one sold so well, others will quickly appear, meaning that more original games will be destroyed to make these nasty hacks.

I was going to ask about the fact the cart is supposed to be PAL and yet the sticker is in Japanese. I guess that answers my question "YAARRGGHH ME HARTIES!!"

        200 quid, ouch!

Yep - they're not worth that amount bearing in mind the costs for making a cart like that amass to around under a tenner.....few quid for the sac cart, a quid or so for the eprom/s involved, and a little patience soldering. The biggest outlay would be a eprom burner for teh romz, bout 60 quid.....

Not sure I agree with that they're nasty hacks - a lot of work went into translating the jap roms into english a few years back, all of which was a large group effort extracting the alphabet tables and text, getting them translated and then trying to find the room in the rom to re-insert the text. All this was then publicly released for nowt - what I would object to is the butchering of working carts and peeps charging a fortune for a thinly veiled booty.....

I see yr point ... but it does seem that people are bidding this up to crazy prices of their own accord. And if they can't be bothered to do the fairly minimal amount of research that it would take to find out the status of these carts then they're pretty much victims of their own stupidity.

I agree - if you want to be that much of a collector for SNES stuff's (and I still can't stop collecting the stuff ) then research is your friend.....I've still got a half finished Galaxy Robo project kicking round somewhere......

                200 quid holy s**t!

Think thats the most I've ever seen one of those go for...

As far as "sac carts" go, I don't think many copies of NHL 95 are going to be sorely missed..

PS: Label says "FR Version" i.e. French

You seem to have miss read my post slightly at no point was I referring to the excellent English translation of SD3. Merely the fact that it is a hack/cannibalism of an original cart to play SD3, we can only wonder what game was lost to make this cart, hopefully nothing rare.

One would presume that the carts cannibalised to make these hacks are the cheapest (and hence the commonest) available. Why pay more than you would have to for something that you only want for the physical components?

I made an english SD3 cart a while back. Included a really nice title screen patch to change it to Secret of Mana 2 as well
It's the work of the translators / hacking community, so I don't agree with selling at profit... but jeez, that's a lot of money It's one game that's actually worth close to ?200 imo.

You can use NHL95 and some other NHL games to make SoM2. I guess an ignorant person would use IoT.

yes, it's the ultra rare pal version knockoff!
Loving how the pirates simply took the insert image and stretched it horribly to fit the cartridge label area.. such finesse!
