Daytona USA online play has been mostly figured out, i didn't even know it had online MP... sega did us PAL users the dirty. Probably not worth the work involved, i remember playing with a pad was pretty terrible and got a steering wheel for it (and F335) and i can play my 360 release of original arcade on XSX.

I've never understood why various versions of Daytona, such as the Dreamcast one or the CCE Saturn one, didn't have the chasing cloud pattern reflections on the rear windows of the car.

I mean, that's Daytona USA's signature graphical feature. Even some games like SCREAMER on PC emulated it to try and capture the feel of Daytona!

I’m not so sure I need one of those between Nintendont, MiSTer and Free McBoot. The pricing is very attractive though, it makes me want a few for the convenience, and also to support the cause.

Baroque gets english patch for saturn. There also happens to be english patch the playstation version release a few weeks earlier. Looks like i missed the Grandia english patch(and patch fixes) released across 2022/23, looks like i need finally get around to either curating the tiny 128g HD i put in my MODE or buy a new SSD and just stick everything on it.

Edit 2: I was able to order via black-dog although you're paying tax and $20 shipping so it is going to be more economical to wait on Games Connection.

Sticking this on people's radars - GunStream GG is a shmup for the Game Gear that is being worked on by some ex-Compile folks. They're releasing a caravan version of the game on physical carts later this month. Here's their own info page (in Japanese) and here's a Time Extension article from last year when the project first started catching some attention.



If you're looking to get hold of a copy I'd note that The Emporium are listing it for pre-order here but that it's not a cheap cart to begin with.

Upscaling is now in the 4K era... PixelFX have announced the Morph4K for $400.
The major downside of this little device is that it only has HDMI inputs, if you want analog inputs you need to fork out an extra $100.
