The last fw release was December 2020. But yes, the whole thing is a complete joke. I sold my PSIO when I upgraded to an xStation around March of 2021 and it hasn't had an update since. The guy is so insecure about piracy that he has left existing customers in the dark with a half operational device for years now.

The guy seems like an asshat. Krikzz’s stuff is pirated left/right/center but he’s still in business (while being bombed by Russia, no less).

Copies of Krikzz stuff tends to be older designs, not really suitable for the enthusiast. I think he even negotiated with some of the Chinese vendors to license out certain ED designs for the Chinese market. These have a slightly different PCB designated as such.

New OPL for the PS2 dropped, and it supports HDDs of any size.

ISO loading too! Should make dropping games on a ton easier. Makes me wonder what format the HDD needs though.

              New OPL? Amazing!

Been thinking about moving across to an SSD for the PS2. The fewer moving parts the better. I wouldn't have to feel so paranoid about standing the console vertically right next to the PVM either (magnets, bitch!).

I ran into some funny behaviour with an SSD vs the HDD I was using. There shouldn't be really but OPL is iffy at the best of times. Hopefully we'll have a proper ODE at some point down the line with a much higher level of compatibility.

That could be worthwhile. I’ve got three versions of OPL on mine for compatibility purposes and I don’t even play that many games.

You wouldn't be the first to say they had multiple versions of OPL at their disposal. Seems that the PS2 can see exFAT formatting, so that negates any silly buggers proprietary programs that need to be used. I'll have to sample it at some point next week when I'm home. I'll try MX4SIO on my slim and HDD on a phat.

Do you want an internal or external ODE for the PC-FX?

lol the most pointless console to do it for. The game library on the FX is absolute dross, even the super expensive standout games are average when you compare them to other console libraries. It's almost as bad as that flash cart from the game com lol.

Someone needs to made a ODE for the FM Towns computer. They're easy to get on Yahoo Auctions because they've all got dead drives. I know there is a Marty one but why make one for the weaker format?

I assume they use some kind of SCSI connection? I figure something like a BlueSCSI or SCSI2SD would suffice. May need an adapter cable to interface from the quick Google search I just did.

I wonder if that would work? Maybe something to look into.
