Yeah that was a really pathetic and awkward moment in an otherwise interesting segment.

Can't wait to see him come back on a dry day.

I've got no patience for F1 but seeing an amateur who does know how to drive really put it into perspective for me!

I loved the idea of a car driving itself via GPS too. Completely pointless if other cars are on the road but still impressive.

What about the USAs selection for years greenest car?

Hammond in the F1 car was a great watch, although with all my F1 practice on the PS3 I'm sure I'd find it a breeze

The BMW driving itself was wicked, and definitely wouldn't be much cop on the road at the moment, but then it did have tha banner along it saying "track trainer" or something like that. Would be great to get a day out on race track with you sitting behind the wheel to give you a demonstration of how to do a lap!

I missed the very end of it on my recording, it stopped at the bit when he was trying to work out how to stop the car!

Did they give a lap time at the end? Has he stopped yet?

No lap time was given no, great stuff from BMW though.

Shame, it seemed to do well!

I was amazed at that BMW, i had visions of learning it the route to work, imagine it also having the ability to read traffic signals, the actions of other cars etc, doesn't seem all that far fetched to me, i could have my sausage butty, a thermos with a nice hot coffee and read the paper all before getting there...

What an episode, loved it tonight! Hammond in the F1 car was fantastic, makes you see just how hard it really is to drive.

You can actually get race days to race F1 cars for £1,500. Would LOVE to do that, would be amazing to see how rubbish I'd be, probably never get it off the grid!

And Hamilton was amazing on the track too, 0.3 seconds off Stigs time in the wet, wow! Hopefully he'll come back when its dry and hit a 1.41 maybe.

AND THAT BMW! Wow, how cool is that. Great potential to work in the future if all cars are fitted with that kind of thing, then they would all know where the are at the same time and can stop and start, and dodge each other automatically! Would be really cool.

Hamilton was funny - he had that little wobble under braking going round one corner and I thought he'd blown it by being too relaxed.

It was embarrassing to see JC fawning all over Hamilton like he did Ellen McArthur etc.

Liked the F1 piece, got me thinking about one day having enough spare cash to buy a formula Renault or similar as a track day car, that'd be ace.

James Blunt was surprisingly funny actually, shame he has such a stupid voice!

He was funnier than I imagined, though everytime I see/hear him I think of Harry Enfield in Skins

What do you take me for?, some kind of James Blunt

one of the best lines of 2007

I thought that was the best bit, I can't stand Hamilton after this years F1 season!

Loved the episode, the guys at Beaulieu was the best bit.
