Totally agree with Pete! This season has been superb so far, this new episode was a great example of that. Also after watching this episode the ending of the game makes alot more sense,

I presume the guy in the game has a similar thing going on that Desmond/Danny had

. Can't wait for the next episode now!

Here's one to twiddle your brainstrings:

Back in 1996, Penny said her phone number was (020)79460893, right, but the 0207/8 codes didn't kick in until 2000! Did the writers not pay attention to this little oversight, or...

COULD IT MEAN SOMETHING STUPENDOUSLY AMAZINGLY FREAKY???

Maybe all this island tinkering affected Ofcom's numbering program?

        Brilliant episode,

really choked me up at the end.

        Question though,

if time is moving differently on the island and the real world, wouldn't Desmonds call get through to Penny a lot later? Or is he technically calling through time?

he isnt on the island when he makes the call. ?

Anyway we know communciation is unaffected. The island and the ship are communicating in real time. All to do with relative speed of radio waves...probably.

It means the American writers didn't do their research properly

THAT'S I'M BOYCOTTING LOST BECAUSE OF THIS!!!!

Not really, 2nd best episode ever (after the S2 finale)

I thought the US phone box in Glasgow was a worse overcite

Actually, I'm thinking about the time thing now.

On the island they say they've been there for 90 days. (Which is Xmas Eve).

When Desmond calls (outside of the time delay) it's Xmas Eve for Penny as well and she was expecting his call.

So that must mean Desmond (outside of the island area) was calling back to Penny on Xmas Eve 2004.

Or is it just things coming through the island barrier that get delayed? Not necessarily a physical speed up of time?

                      That episode was immense!

I really don't like him though personally, it's as soon as the whole

Desmond/Penny thing comes up I really really love their story as a whole.

if there is some sort of electromagnetic disturbance, the radio waves would be effected in a huge way

                          especially the satellite phones

but they seem fine, maybe another oversight

dunno about oversight, I dont think theres any previous to go on concerning temporal distortion and radio waves tbh. More artistic license.

Any massive Lost fans in here able to tell me which number episodes feature Desmond? I quite fancy buying his story arc off iTunes...
