@Yoshi -I think it is clear that the plane crash was not an accident. Syed pretty much discussed this with everyone once by going on about how unusual that anyone survived. I mean, plane breaks up at 35,000 feet -everyone dies I'm afraid. Certainly 60 odd people don't end up on the same island with barely a scratch. They know this.

The costumes mean that the "others" have been playing as savages, but aren't really. They are clean shaven, well read and well educated.

It is looking more an more like a mind control experiment. The hatch, the button, the infection, the fake savages. What next I wonder

Ive been veru negative about the series in the past few weeks, but i must admit this one was an absolute classic!

          But

there was definitely a plane crash - we saw bits of the tail section land in the sea!

Noel Edmonds jumps out from behind a tree and shouts "Gotcha!!" at all of them!!!

I think Yoshi's idea could be right on the money!!

Actually, come to think of it, there was debris landing in the sea all over the place, must have crashed properly...

One of the most important things we learnt from this episode was that 'the others' *are* Darma. The boss refered to by Mr.Friendly (the guy from the boat with the fake beard who showed up in Clare's flashback last night) is presumably Hanso.

The questions remaining are - where are 'the others' now? In another hatch? (perhaps one near water, where they could keep boats and release Darma branded sharks) And is Henry Gale really an 'other'? The writers obviously want us to think he is - his Wizard of Oz name and balloon story are nice touches. But they can be tricky sometimes and could be fooling us. And is Alex still with the others? Why did she not escape with Clare? And of course, where is Michael?

False memories ? Not a new concept.

How drugged up was the pregnant chick last night for example - they seem to have some pretty meaty mind control techniques / drugs.

And that's my point - we saw the tail section hit the sea so we know there is not a hope in hell anybody survived it.

Also remember the scan from series one of the wrecked fuselage where you saw the dharma logo on the plane ? I reckon everything "connected" or "part of" the experiment will be dharma branded.

                    Beardy said that

they needn't worry because he was running about on what was effectively a wild goose chase

when they had the confrontation in the jungle !

                    None of this explains

Mr Ecko's behaviour - he seemed to know 100% that Henry Gale was an "other" despite only having seen the bedsheets through the locker door.

                    On the subject of Ecko

I presume the two strands of beard he removed were representing the two 'others' whose heads he caved in ? But how does he know about "Hanzo" etc.

I think it's pretty obvious now that the plane crash was deliberate ... the little airliners in the baby cot suggest that.

I wanna know more about the significance of the numbers, Walt, Michael (I can't believe some of you forgot about him!), Desmond, and John Locke's mysterious legs.

Need to stop posting about this it's really got me this week.

We know now there is nothing "fantastical" going on here i.e miracles or outrageous coincidences - Locke never, ever had a problem with his legs it's a false memory

Desmond is either a "lab rat" or one of the "others/scientists" I'm not sure.

Regarding the cot planes it reminded me about

The episode where Kate goes all out to recover the suitcase from the river in order to retrieve - A TOY AEROPLANE 8) - I reckon another false memory

On the subject of false memories

It would also help to tie up the insane number of related people turning up in each others flashbacks !!

                          OK - regarding Eko :

Beardy mentioned to Ethan outside the nursery that he was to make a "list" before returning but he hadn't - When the tail section people were attacked there was a list found with their names on which appeared to be the names of those taken - Assuming Eko was on that list he is possibly indicating to Henry Gale that he has "made amends" for killing two of the abductors ???

My head is fried with this.

                            Also, don't forget about the
or whatever it is that also lives on the island...remember Eko and the

                            black smoke

                            incident?

As much as it seems they are playing games with them, it's still like there are two "main" stories going on,

                            the "others" and the "monster"...

The only other we know that is in disguise is Mr Friendly. But, it's fairly obvious they're in another hatch, Micheal spoke to 'Walk' via the computer. The shark thing leads onto the cable going into the water, with an underground hatch.

Michael buggered off to find Walt.

How do you know she didn't escape (Alex)? She's also from Malcolm in the Middle by the way.

                                - Who was it who said the black smoke was the "security system"? Someone said that in Season 1 I think. It might of been Desmond in Season 2 I guess.. Hmm.

I'd really like to know where Desmond has gotten too, and what happened to his wife.

And presumably the young girl who helped Claire is the French womens daughter?

Who do you mean by Mr. Friendly? Ethan?

So the guy they have prisoned is named the same as a character out of Wizard of Oz? The professor at the end with the hot-air balloon? Too cool!

It's all going mad, and there is only two episodes left in this season! Whaaa wonder when Season 3 starts. Late summer, I hope
