Normally there are 24 episodes in most US seasons BUT this season of lost has 23 listed apparently episode 23 will be a 2 hour season finale (it's probably episode 23/24 together)

The second series has been patchy in places (some would say too many), but it'd be a shame if there wasn't a third.

There will be a third series, and likely many more beyond that.

Yeah that's a mistake on their part. All cast and producers have been signed for a third season, and the original cast were obligated to sign a 5 season contract before they made the pilot, so lots more left in it.

Hopefully the last 5 episodes will be good.

Until the ratings drop off. Sadly there's a difference between that and well written script.

Bit late to the party, but I loved Ep18: I guess it helps if you like Hurley, but I thought this was terrific, and I really felt for him. Can't believe some fans thought it was boring.

Lost didnt start on CH4 until it was available on DVD in the states, so it might be some time

Was only boring becuase we want to know whats going on in the hatch,

not whats happening to hurley's invisble friend. I like hurley, but alot of this episode felt like filler, they could have shown that Hurley had an invisble friend in an episode where he was actually involved with the main plot.

Instead they did there usual thing where one week they end with a cliffhanger, and then the next week they do nothing with it.

As for the diary, It can't be hurley, when he bumped into Eko and Charlie on the beach he wasn't headed to the hatch. So its someone else.
