Have you seen In the Line of Duty 4 or Tiger Cage 2 yet? I remember you asked about them, I'm sure you'd love them. Ninja in the Dragon's Den, everybody loves it but I though it was just... good, years ago when I watched it. Need to watch it again to form a real opinion. Theme song is just great, though lol. I need to watch Duel to the Death again, what a crazy flick, and I plan on getting some more films watched as soon as I can.

I got Tiger Cage and bar the insane stunts (which are just insane) I wasn't impressed with the film. I need to get Line of Duty 4 though . Have you seen Inspectors wear Skirts II ? are the stunts in that any good ?

I don't really like Dragons Den as a film per say , but some of the moves the actors pull off (even when wearing stilts) is just incredible. Think I may pick up mad monkey kung fu on DVD - that too features some brilliant acrobatics , I haven't seen it in ages (like 1994) and I quite like Lau Kar Leung fight choreography

Lau Kar Leung's films are some of my favourites along with Sammo's stuff, you should check out Lady Is The Boss if you haven't already, for the big end fight which has references to his earlier films in a tongue in cheek manner. It's mainly a comedy but I love it. Inspector Wears Skirts 2, just googled it, I've been meaning to get the first film but I had no idea Kara Hui is in the second, I must track that down now... In The Line of Duty 4 is better than Tiger Cage 2, but are you sure you didn't see Tiger Cage 1? ITLOD4 is pretty much fight after fight for the duration of the film.

Wow, other people in the thread!

The stilts fight is very good in Dragon in the Ninja's Den, and I enjoyed the final battle too. It was a little bit like the shrine fight at the end of Spooky Encounters.

I've seen Tiger Cage 1 and have TC2 in the queue! I want to see some of the other ones you've sent me first though, Shinobi.
In fact, I might list what films I have to work my way through!

I've not seen any of the Inspector Wears Skirts series, but I might check out the Yes, Madam films after Cynthia Rotchrock rated a couple of the scenes as her faves in that recent Impact review.

I've got In the Line of Duty 4 and recently started re-watching it. Always amazes me just how much action they cram into that film, it's non-stop!

Man, there's seriously so many films I've been meaning to watch for ages, and then there's my favourites that I haven't seen for years... Also, if I watch a film in a bad mood it's going to get switched off within 15 minutes so I'm lost here.

                Lady Whirlwind

Angela Mao, Chang Yi, Pai Ying, and Sammo Hung.

Standard Hapkido-era Golden Harvest fu. Nice work from Mao throughout, her performance is quite different to other roles. She is the sister of a bird who committed suicide years ago when jilted by Chang Yi. Yi has since reformed his ways and shacked up with a new bint. He plans to take down Pai Ying and his ruthless mafia-style associates. Mao, though, is unmoved, and although she steps aside to allow Yi to do his business, she informs him that he will be owned by her afterwards.

Mao's character is bloody minded and totally driven by the single factor of revenge. When Yi gets into difficulty, she rescues him, just so she can be the one who knacks him. Even after the end scene she hasn't changed, and strops off to beat up some other poor ****.

It is an enjoyable enough effort, though, with period-era martial arts (early 70s) and zero-budget. Sammo looks young and fresh faced, Yi is a good guy for once, and Pai Ying remains a great basher baddie. Anything with Angela Mao in is worth watching.

Amazingly, I have actually seen it, and have got that very dvd! Thanks for the look-out though.

HKL-wise, I'm still on the lookout for cheapy copies of Drive and Millionaire's Express.

Bandits, Prostitutes and Silver is a decent watch, as is Duel With the Devils, for minor character Mao roles. I thought Hapkido was bustin'.

                          Duly noted, mate.

I got my Drive at launch after nearly paying silly money for a video finding service to track it down. Then the magic of DVD appeared!

My Millionaires Express was off fleabay earlier in the year. Got it fairly cheap from somebody stateside as the Dragon Dynasty release if memory serves.

Did you watch the Police Story I got you?!

ITLOD4 was released in the UK by HKL as In the Line of Duty, I think it has had a cheap modern release in China, if it hasn't the Tiger Cage films definitely have. If Donnie didn't make it to the end of the film you watched then it was Tiger Cage, not TC2. You can get the films for under a fiver if you order from DDDHouse or YesAsia. I couldn't identify that fall, still trying to figure out if that was Cynthia Khan.
