Nothing so inventive I am afraid. I just fancioed a drink, went from Rum and Coke to Beer, to Red Wine and finished with Vodka, Limoncello and Lemonade.
I was a girl drink drunk by the end of the evening

I just watched Jacob's Ladder for the first time. This is one I was told about a long time ago, and unfortunately the person who told me about it also told me the big secret - so I never saw the point in watching it.

Having finally done so, I can tell I ought to have been more impressed, but knowing what was going on made it hard to really get into. I was very surprised how authentically 70s it all looked though - for a while I was convinced that Tim Robbins must be a lot older than I thought he was!

Watched Toy Story 3 earlier. Fantastic film, I have to admit I was struggling a little at the end.

Watched Dodgeball on Blu last night. Still an amazingly funny film! Just pure genius!

I still haven't watched any of his films other than Dogma. Started watching Jay and Silent Bob when we had a young-ish niece around and soon turned it off because of the swearing, don't think I've gone back to it since.

One of those films that I've seemingly had on my shelf for years without ever getting around to watching, until today, is Sullivan's Travels. What a great film. Very funny and entertaining. Lots of great banter and that 1940's style of everyone talking at once. I don't think I've ever seen a Preston Sturges film before but will definitely check out more of his stuff after this. And Veronica lake is smoking hot!
Don't look at me, I'm irrelevant.

It's a surreal film in many ways, but it's not very complex really. I'm sure anyone will understand the ending. Definitely a classic, but the way it ends.. does spoil the rewatch value.

If you like it, I will recommend 'Flatliners' - which was made around the same time, and has a similar surreal atmosphere about it. The stories are completely different, but I think they have a similar feel to them.

I like Mallrats, not sure why it was so slated.

Chasing Amy was great... up until the scene at the end. I just couldn't imagine anyone doing what the main character did, completely shattered my immersion and spoilt the film a bit.

I watched Revenge of the Fallen tonight for the first time. Fun film, but I think I can understand why people would hate it.

                              Also, it has Megan Fox.
