It was visually spectacular but story-wise there wasn't enough going on. Was pretty cool to see

TRON flipping and kicking all sorts of arse.

Nice to see for the spectacel but don't expect Shakespeare.

I want to watch it here but even the best cinemas suck big hairy balls, the 3D is obscenely bad/dark/wobbly/subtitled to f**k.

          ^^

I wanna watch it again. As for

CGI Bruce, I imagine it was probably too expensive? There was the CGI young Bruce in the news flash bit but that may have just been quickly cobbled together as it's only for a split second and it's a close-up of a telly so they wouldn't have needed to make it look as good as Jeff's. Maybe?

Wasn't there also a glimpse of

young Bruce when they showed a flashback to Clu, Flynn and Tron at the dawn of their digital world?

I barely saw him but I think he was there without helmet.

I really want to see it again too.

Anyone spot Cillian Murphy in there, looking all beardy? I didn't know if it was him at first but turns out it is.

This is prime for another film, especially when Tron sank to the bottom of the sea and started turning Blue, hell yeah. I thought it ended wel, then I though what if Flynn rebooted The Grid starting fresh? Sam retains all his dads work from his disc and the next film sees Cillian Murphy's character jumping into the grid and going all evil like only he can do.

              Could be awesome.

Yeah I did. Quite surprised he played such a minor role.

Yeah they were very much setting up a sequel with him, especially given who his father was. Already a guy with a grudge.

I don't know if I want another. Each new movie increases the chance that it'll suck.

Well i am actually quite surprised at how much praise there is for this film because i actually came away a bit underwhelmed and i can't quite put my finger on why.

Firsty the 3d imax screen was amazing, luckily i'd prebooked 2 premier seats slap bang in the middle and toward the back. As someone mentioned earlier the sound was out of this world and it was great to hear the daft punk soundtrack especially when Derezzed came on, defo got the heart pumping.

Also, for some reason i thought the entire film was filmed in 3D like Avatar so was disappointed at the beginning when it the disclaimer came up informing us otherwise. Even then there was only a couple of 3D bits that impressed me and one of them was the Disney 3D title bit at the start.

                    I'm a miserable git aren't i?

Well the 2D/3D was obviously a deliberate Wizard of Oz type thing. I thought it was pretty cool. You're certainly not alone in feeling underwhelmed though, if reviews are anything to go by.

I loved it though. I'm dying to see it again.

                        You see him

quite a bit in the fight in the flashback.

Oooooh, i really want to see this again. The high contrast and colourful neons are going to look breathtaking on blu-ray.

Weird you should mention the Wizard of Oz because when i was discussing the film with my dad afterwards he reffered to the Wizard of Oz, i've never seen it so he had to explain the similarity, then it made sense.

I think i'll go and watch it again in 2D

Watched it last night, visuals and sound were stunning, but the story really brought the film to a halt in parts.

As for Clu, he was far from perfect, but as the film went on I stopped thinking of him less and less as a CG character.

Overall glad I watched it at the cinema, but not quite what i hoped for.

Has anyone seen it in 2D? I'm considering seeing it again but have a feeling my mates will want to see it in 3D.

Also, you lot who saw it at the IMAX, was it like Dark Knight/Transformers where it's regular widescreen for the 2D bits and top-to-bottom for the 3D bits?

Went to see this today with the Mrs. and felt very satisfied with it. The soundtrack was ace.

Also, I was mighty surprised that the film wasn't butchered with subtitles, through that it retained it's picture quality. Honestly, everytime I've watched anything at the cinema here it's like watching a dodgy pirate from the 70's.
