Got Funny Games last night from work pre-owned ?6.99. Picture is sharp but there is quite a bit of grain. Is this a stylistc thing or down to the films budget being so teeny?

I love the speed of dvdslimited and didn't mind the extra cash but this is crazy!!!

I just tried dvdslimited and they are down. A quick google search leaves you with a non functioning site for link 1 and a complaint for link 2. Well done dvdslimited!!!

Probably just how it was shot, the grains a part of the image.

Yes, the grain is just a part of the film. The amount will vary depending on the type of film stock used, as well as things like lighting conditions.

It could also be for the reasons you say.

I guess it depends on how you describe good. ?18 for a film that gets delivered to you the next day, normally a good two weeks before its US release used to be pretty impressive in my book. If you know of a company that can currently beat that I'[d love to hear about them.

According to a thread on the AVForums, it seems that DVDSlimited have closed - possibly will be continuing to trade on ebay though.

I haven't used them for a while - the prices for new releases were becoming just a bit too comical.

Picked up Punisher and House Bunny today.

Going to watch them both tomorrow. Been meaning to get Punisher for ages from the US but there always seemed to be something flashier to buy. This came in at work and I figured "why not?"

House Bunny is more for the missus as she likes that Legally Blonde / Mean Girls (due soon on BR too...yay!!) type thing and I'm got going to complain about having to watch Anna Faris prance about in skimpy outfits in HD for an hour and a half!
