There's no point in response because I know it's either Howard the Duck or Last Starfighter.

MGM has closed a deal with “The Killing” star Joel Kinnaman to play the title role in Jose Padilha’s remake of “Robocop” for Strike Entertainment says Deadline. Josh Zetumer wrote the script for the reboot which is said to drop the darkly comic satire of the original in favour of a grittier and more realistic […]

Joel Kinnaman has now been confirmed for the role of Murphy/Robocop. MGM will also be aiming for a realistic tone, ditching the satirical approach of the original.

The scene where Murphy gets his body shot to pieces scarred my 8 year old mind.

What are you doing watching Robocop at 8 years old?!

I was scared by the woman getting sucked into the supercomputer and turned into a cyborg in Superman 3!

I was watching it @ 8 too, my parents let me see whatever....though moreso I strongly agree that the cyborg woman scene from Superman 3 also gave me nightmares, even thinking of it now gives me a shudder....off to youtube I go

The groin shot made me laugh nervously the first time I saw it but after that it always horrified me, especially the guy shrieking in pain. As a kid it made cocaine seem pretty interesting .

I was 13 and still found it a bit severe. Watching it on slomo on laser disc, you then see his hand is just 4 squares that ping apart lol.

That part in Superman 3 scared me too!

I was watching Robocop when I was around 8 years old too but our copy of the film was edited a bit (must have been recorded off the telly) so the worst moments were cut down. Needless to say when I saw the full version I was horrified by Murphys hands getting shot off and near the end when "toxic waste baddy" gets hit by the car. Messy!

The ITV censored version was hilarious, like other films they did. Instead of 'F#@K ME' over and over, the armed robber shouts 'WHY ME WHY ME', it's really bad.

That cracked me up. I'd love to see that version again.
