Nah just any film. Not just 80s ones.

I'm not sure basing new films on films that were poor at the time is a particularly good idea....

The people who pay to watch all these god awful ****e remakes should be kicked into a coma as they come out the cinema, they are the reason as to why studios keep making them. I heard the other day that they are going to remake The Fall Guy.

The first trailer for the remake of “Robocop” generated a LOT of reaction, many were very curious to see how filmmaker Jose Padilha would handle a new interpretation of the classic ultra-violent MGM franchise. Now comes the second trailer, this one showcasing more of the story and pre-transformation scenes. The result is a lot of […]

Trailer 2, not as good this one

              Winner

I just see CGI and leaping around like Yoda.
Robocop didn't have to do all that - he wasn't a superhero. He was just pretty much indestructible and could shoot behind him.

I will never watch this unless someone says it's better than the original.

Ok, this looks "better". I actually like some of the points its making in terms of policing, robo-phobia, humanity in general. Only problem is I reckon we'll see too much of Alex Murphy and not the cool visor down version of Robo. Even the way they market him and make certain decision looks like it contain its own type of cynicism and satire.

I'll wait for the reviews eitherway, didnt see a lot of guys getting blown up, too many non fleshy robots.

I watched 45 minutes of the new version and turned it off, because it was really boring and annoying. The film just doesn't work without the '80s sense of fun and wackiness. I consider the original to be a really enjoyable cult classic.

Too many modern remakes/re-imaginings don't have any sense of humour, which most '80s films have to some degree. The quintessential wacky 80s charm can't be emulated, but there's no excuse for making films that lack pizzazz.

If this new version of Robocop doesn't have a good degree of theatrics, larger than life characters, one-liners and unforgettable moments, then it will pale next to the original. Writers and producers need to stop being so serious these days.

A new UK trailer for the “RoboCop” reboot has been put online by Sony, with quite a bit of new footage on display. Demonstrating some really impressive cinematography throughout, this one centers on Alex Murphy’s post-accident recovery and his transformation into Robocop. Also out today are two new full-length trailers for the upcoming comedy sequel […]

Looks like its going to be at least as good as total recall 2012.

                      So ****e then.

It's pointless remaking films that are so much a product both of their time and of their creator.

There's a new clip 'ere, with the Robester taking on a couple of Eddie 209s.

Updates on martial arts movies, action movies, and the latest on stunts and action directors who keep the action genre going.

I've not seen the clip, but I love the new poster:
