The thing is how exactly are they supposed to make the film more Star Trekky?

For a start they could be wearing the actual Star Trek uniforms. I'm sure this will be ace (really enjoyed the reboot or whatever you want to call it) but the look is a touch too dark for a Star Trek film - I think this is where the later next gen films went wrong. Also, I don't want to see off duty Kirk, I want to see on duty, at the helm saying 'fire torpedoes!!!!!' Kirk.

Quite a bit different from the first one, and most certainly will not please the people who want the film to be more 'Star Trek' like!

All looks a bit heavy. It's certainly no Star Trek V. Shame they don't have Worf in there because a subplot about how his son is getting on in school and Worf at the parent teacher meeting would really lighten it up.

Hmm .. I have to say that trailer is leaving a bad taste in my mouth at the moment ... The other trailers looked like liked the film was going to be pretty dark, which personally I would have liked to have seen, seems like that may not be the case, and possibly worse dare I say CGI overload ...

Difficult to tell at the moment, which way this is going.

A trailer can really be edited to have whatever tone they want, despite the actual tone of the film.

Yet another trailer .. This one pretty much tells the story so if you don't want to know don't watch ..



Sadly the more I see of this the more I am thinking its not really going to be what I was hoping for. We shall see.
