There's no shame in watching films you admit don't necessarily have the highest standards in the genre. Likewise, there's no shame in hating stuff that everyone else seems to like. But to skank an entire decade!! Of films, literature, music, tv, art - and that's just cultural output - come on!

Yes, the 1950s version of TAM is the one. I've seen others, and unfortunately they pale in comparison, despite the strength of the source material.

I think that's why I don't like the 70s, they were great for Horror or gritty explotation-type movies but I think I use films as escapism so I want to be taken somewhere black and white and snowy (La Notti Bianche) or to a stylised New York (The Apartment, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Hudsucker Proxy, You've Got Mail) not some gritty back end of nowhere with an axe murderer. The nearest thing to the 70s I like in movies is Tarantino's 70s exploration-once-removed movies (True Romance and Inglorious Basterds mainly but they're all enjoyable).

Crap, forgot to add Glengarry Glen Ross.

                http://www.metacafe.com/watch/mv-fxVu/i_dont_like_you/ (contains MAJOR plot spoiler!)

Always found that bit when K.S. says "I don't like you" particularly horrible, for some reason, 'tis the beauty and power of this movie.

Oldish film would prob be The Goonies, followed by Back To The Future.

More recently, I would say Shaun Of The Dead.

Sadly, I don't get the time to watch them over and over :-(

Quite pleased to see a few people saying Dawn/Day of the Dead - I recent picked up the Arrow blu-ray releases to watch.

'You know something billy, what is it?

Billy: There's something out there... and it ain't no man...'

Must be into the 30's by now.

Another I've watched a few too many times is Pineapple Express. Such a funny flick.

                          'Thug life'

                          XD

The bit where Pacino calls Spacey a stupid **** is spine chilling. He means every word, I cannot think of another film that uses an insult with such vitriol and hatred.
