I am on a mad hype for this. Bring on next Saturday - it's the first day of my Xmas time off work too. Matinee 3pm showing at the Waterloo IMAX, back row premium seats. So excited

            STAAAR WAARRSSS!

This stuff is also in Finland and if something hits Finland, being the backwater that we are, it's BIG!

A friend has already booked tickets for the lot of us to see it on the Saturday in 3D.

I'm crossing my fingers and toes this is going to turn out to be quite the experience but the film will tell if it's worth is salt or otherwise...

Only learned the other day that this got a 12 rating. Quite surprised given that only one of the movies so far has had a 12 rating and that's largely because Lucas' tone in the prequels was all over the shop. Expected a PG for this. As the rating wasn't announced when I had bought the tickets, now got to work out how I do this - was going to be a family thing but I'm not bringing my youngest to a 12 movie.

I've booked my tickets for the Friday; decided it'd be better to have good seats on the Friday than crap ones on the Thursday.

It does however mean that from getting up Thursday morning until Friday afternoon I'm going to have to pretty much avoid the internet.

I don't know... seems like the exact same 12A it has been for a long time. It's a dodgy fudged rating that lets both filmmakers and parents off the hook.

Presume you missed the announcement a few weeks back it had been rated PG13 in the US, which was pretty much a lock-in for it being 12A here.

Note that Revenge of the Sith was a straight 12 btw, not a 12A in the cinemas (unlike the home release), presumably due to Anakin's BBQ fest at the end (and possibly Dooku's decapitation).

Seeing this for free on Thursday.

The company my mum works for has hired two screens at the local Vue so it should be a decent viewing as it won't be full of people whooping and cheering when cool things happen.
