Because Ady mentioned them, I have whacked Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot in my stereo today. There is a magical live version of Spirit Ditch on Youtube which I saw the other day. Great band, saw them live in P*****mouth a few years back, they were awesome, had a really fit female cellist as well.

Can't stop listening to Idealism by Digitalism at the moment. Took me a while to get into as a lot of the arrangements are really different, some of the songs are incredibly minimal while others are a full on blitzkrieg.

              It's really, really good.

DAN LE SAC vs SCROOBIUS PIP - "Thou Shalt Always Kill"

"Thou shalt not think any male over the age of 30 who plays with a child who is not their own is a paedophile...Some people are just nice!"

Quality band that - saw them in Camden and they bring it Live too!!!

I got myself a new album yesterday evening; Coco - Colbie Caillat.

She is something like a cross between Jack Johnson, Aimee Mann and a hint of Norah Jones (lyrics wise) but because the songs are very fresh and is summery sounding, it makes for an excellent (easy) summer listening.

Oxygen and Bubbly are excellent tracks.

                    Yeah, mate!

I saw them live at Norwich UEA late last year. It was a great gig. There was no cellist, but the female bassist was pretty cute.

Hmm. Might have been an upright bass actually. Either way, my pink oboe was upright.

The Wrens - The Meadowlands today.

One of my absolute all time favourites.

Captain EP by Idlewild coming up in mah van in a little while.

Listening to Hope of the States' 'The Lost Riots' as I eat my lunch.

Anathema's 'The Silent Engima' is on my mp3 player for when I head back to work. (I do like a bit of Doom Metal sometimes...)

It's a miserable day, so out comes the bleak, overcast day music.

Oh yeah funny story. the other week I was DJ-ing some straight laced 30th birthday party, wanted crappy 80s music, Oasis, Snow Patrol, all the usual fodder. I couldn;t resist dropping a few subversive ones into the mix though, so it was superb to see a bunch of drunken 3o-something drones dancing stupidly to Black Flag and The Young Gods. Do I win £5?

The Red the White the Black the Blue is an awesome track even though it isn't usually my sort of music.
